I think we are all forever changed, in one way or another, from September 11, 2001. I can remember where I was and what I was doing. I vividly remember being scared, sad and heartbroken. Those were all feelings that I had never really felt the depths of until that day.
I think the attack hurt our country terribly, but made us stronger as a whole.
Innocent people lost their lives that day. I still can’t wrap my mind how people can be so terrible and cause such harm.
I’ve always prayed for peace for those involved, wether it’s someone who lost a loved one or those firefighters who worked every second for days to help. I’ve have been, and will forever be, grateful for those who have helped and who have (and will) serve our country and try protect us from harm.
I’ll never forget and I’ll never be the same.
My mother-in-law, and her photographer partner, traveled all over the country following and photographing the National 9/11 flag as the photographer New York Says Thank You. 9/11 will be remember on so many days throughout the year in so many different ways.
