Well we have closed our first chapter of Mother’s Day Out. Knox & Sloane have loved going to “school” as we call it 🙂
They started going when they were 19 months old and have gone since. They have small breaks in between the school-year and summer, but other than that, they’ve been there each week.
It’s kind of made me emotional and I knew it’s just part of change and I want it to be an easy transition for them. I know they love their friends there and their teachers at Mother’s Day Out. The good thing is, they will get to go back during the summer next year 🙂 I also told them maybe could go every now and then because I knew that would help and it’s an option. But really, they didn’t seem to mind when I told them today was their last day. I asked if they felt okay about going to a new school and they said yes. I told them they would make more friends and have new teachers.
They will be going the same amount of time and it’s still at church, just a different one.
It kind of suck up on me that today was their last day. We went and picked up donuts for the teachers this morning and they were tickled.
But how are my babies going to be three in a few weeks? How are they already able to do pre-k?
This chapter has closed and another is opening:)
