This past weekend some sweet friends invited us to a private “Farm Table Dinner” at The Living Kitchen Farm an Dairy, located in Depew, Oklahoma.
It was such a fun experience! The farm hosts dinners with foods that are mostly grown and raised on their farm. They (chefs and staff) did an exceptional job. We got to walk around the farm and they were so friendly and discussed everything in depth. It really gives you a great appreciation for clean, farm-grown food.
I kind of wish I had a farm of my own 🙂
As I mentioned, The Living Kitchen Farm and Dairy is in Depew, but they also have pop-ups set up at the Cherry Street Farmers Market, in Tulsa, and probably some others. I know of at least one restaurant, in Tulsa as well, that they provide quite a bit of food for (Tallgrass Prairie Table on 2nd Street, which is also delicious.)
The farm’s Facebook page can be found HERE, so you can probably keep a bit more up-to-date. They have “Farm Table Dinners” only a few months out of the year and they do sell out quickly!
The dinner is actually at what seems to be a cabin in the middle of the woods. You sit on the back, screened porch. It’s a beautiful and intimate atmosphere.
I highly recommend attending a dinner and getting to experience this!
I also recommend purchasing some of the amazing goat cheese before leaving 🙂
