In the spring, Brent was nominated as one of Tulsa’s New Leaders by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. It’s a great foundation, one that is very close to some dear friends, and we enjoy taking part.
There is a fundraiser this Friday and we would love it if any and everyone could come! 🙂
It will be a GREAT and fun event!
WHAT: On October 25, 2013, the Sooner-Tulsa Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is excited to host the third annual Corks & Kegs wine and beer tasting event with special guest speaker, Don Detrich. Don has been an advocate for the CF Foundation since the diagnosis of his late daughter, Lo, who courageously lived with cystic fibrosis for 28 years. Raising money to help fund the research for a cure for cystic fibrosis has been a mission of the Detrich family since 1984. Join us as Mr. Detrich takes us through the compelling journey of Lo’s life and the leaps and bounds made by the foundation.
Throughout the evening, attendees will have to opportunity to sample wine and beers from some of the best wineries and breweries in the nation. Attendees will also be able to sample foods from Tulsa’s finest restaurants. The evening will include live music from the Big’Uns of Northwest Arkansas, an extensive silent and super-silent auction display and showcase a live auction of one-of-a-kind items auctioned by Jay Litchfield. Please join us for an unforgettable evening with the finest vintners and craft brewers paired with Tulsa’s finest restaurants and caterers providing a perfect dinner for all tastes. Dinner, Drinks, Dancing and More!
WHERE: The Tulsa Convention Center
WHEN: Friday, October 25, 2013 – 6:30pm
WHY: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States today. When the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was founded in 1955, few children with CF lived to attend elementary school. Today, the median age of survival for an individual with CF is 37 years.
Our ultimate goal is to find a cure for CF – Changing the course of life for those who suffer from the disease.
To do this we must provide money for continuing research. All contributions are tax deductible within the legal limits of the law.
TICKETS: You can get tickets at the door, but it will be a quicker process to have one in your hand.
You can purchase online HERE.
