I want to get back to doing a weekend wrap-up post and a twin treats posts! They are both things I miss looking back and seeing now that I haven’t been doing them.
We had a nice weekend! It wasn’t too busy, which was nice. It was pretty hot on Saturday, which I suppose is to be expected. Today, it was super nice.
Friday, after we put the kiddos to bed, my parents hung out at our house while Brent went to dinner with his brother and I went to dinner with his sister and a few of our friends. It was a nice night!
Saturday we hung around the house and took the kiddos to Chickfila for lunch and then grocery shopping at Target. I joked on Instagram that they have the same problem as me, they can’t go to Target and just get what the went for 😉 meaning…it really is hard for Brent and I to pass cute things for them. Needless to say, Knox has been carrying around his new car and Sloane her new Minnie since we left the store! Of course, they insisted on new sunglasses as well. Oh, when I put a pack of Pirate’s Booty in the cart, Sloane saw me and began to yell, “Pirate boo!!” I ended up giving them each a small bag. They are addicted, as am I.
Today, we ran some errands this morning and then went to Chipolte for lunch. Eating out for us is just tricky. Sometimes the kids do great and sometimes it’s too close to nap and dinner, which was the case for Knox & lunch. He was restless and didn’t really want to eat. Sloane wanted to eat, which you will see below 🙂
After lunch, Sloane wasn’t interested in napping so she was jumping up and down in her bed. I actually think she might have been trying to get out, I didn’t see, but she ended up screaming. Brent ran up to their room to find blood on her face. Initially, we thought she bit through her lip but then determined her top lip cut the bottom outside and her bottum tooth punctured the bottom inside. With the blood and location, it seemed like a tooth had gone all the way through. Since they came downstairs with no nap (and began getting fussy) we decided to drive around for a bit. Well, Sloane said her lip hurt so we went ahead and took her in. Knox randomly had a 102 fever before bed yesterday and 100 today so we went ahead and had his ears checked. He’s going to be swimming this week and I didn’t want to get him in with an infection. Both his and Sloane’s ears checked out fine and the doctor agreed Sloane’s lip was bad, but not bad enough for stitches. It didn’t puncture all the way through in one spot. She told us a few things to do and said it should heal quickly, without leaving a scar. My mom had said this as well because my brother did it when he was young.
This weekend Sloane said “bless you!” after Knox sneezed and she started yelling “cheese!” so that I would take a picture with her and her new doll. Those things kind of made me a proud mama 🙂
love him and his sweet smile so much!
I feel like she looks so big sitting in the chair 🙁 She also wanted to pick her bow and her shoes. The princess is definitely growing up!
Sloane napped for 3.5 hours on Saturday and Knox woke up after two. Growing babies. He gave me sweet snuggles, but wanted to watch Barney, the purple giant. They are obsessed with Barney.
The girl loves her food….
She’s very into picking flowers….
This sweet picture I snapped Friday afternoon….
This one was Thursday before school . They were feeling patriotic 🙂
Hope you have a good week!
