Oh my heart....

These people have been on my heart and I wanted to share. I know I can say it over and over again, but having gone through something incredibly horrible I know how comforting it is to feel prayers and thoughtfulness from others. I know they would appreciate anything you can do.

I've been chatting with Kirsten for about four years now. She is a great blogger and a great person. She's been through a lot and is so strong. She's pregnant and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  She started a new blog and you can follow along - http://abumpandalump.blogspot.com/ She is currently going through chemo.

A friend of mine, Jill, that I grew up with recently had a tragic accident happen in her family. Her sister and brother-in-law were about 50 feet from their driveway when a truck hydroplaned and hit them head on. Jill's brother-in-law did not survive. Her sister did, but is still in this hospital and has been through quit a bit to get back on her feet. She is hoping to go home soon. Once she woke after surgeries, a little over a week later, he family thad to tell her about the accident and her husband. I.cannot.imagine. They have three young kiddos. Jill's mom is going to be making her FB page public for updates here - https://www.facebook.com/julie.m.williams3?fref=ts If you are local, by this family, they've set up an account at one of the banks, so you can inquire on that Facebook page or contact Jill.

I know a lot of people follow Tripp's story on Facebook. It's a tough one. He was playing at daycare and a large tree branch fell on him and crushed his skull. He has good days and bad days. He looks great, but they still aren't quite sure how much brain activity he has or will ever have.  His story and page are here - https://www.facebook.com/TrippHalsteadUpdates/posts/441691265909098

These two pages were emailed to me. Both of these sweet babies have Congenital Heart Defects. Seeing their stories and pictures really hit home.

Jamie - I posted about here HERE. She is about to go home on hospice.

I also know several girls who have had recent miscarriages. I pray pretty consistently for those who have experienced the loss of a baby and/or are experiencing fertility issues.

Count your blessings.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. - Psalm 91:3-4

PLEASE feel free to add any prayer requests in the comments.

  3. It's all so overwhelming. My family has had our fair share of pain and tragedy, and still needs prayers daily in our search for my missing brother. My parents especially need the prayer, and are both facing medical issues that are worsened by the stress.

That verse is one of my favorites. Without God, I couldn't face it all.

  4. How hugely sad. Blessings are duly counted, and prayers said for those in need. Those poor families.

  5. Thanks for sharing. I "know" Kristen too. I use to read her old blog. I was so sad when I learned about her news on IG. She is brave to share her story and I've been praying for her. Will add the others to my thoughts and prayers too!

  7. Thanks for sharing these. A friend of mine actually almost lost her husband this time last year, and now he is doing great you would have never known that he actually went through what he did. They hadn't even been married that long on top of that. Their are always people that need prayers and everyone should remember that, and for many different. All these families are in my prayers.

  8. Thank you for sharing these prayer requests. I have some of my own! My family and I have been dealing with a lot of health issues lately, particularly mental disorders. I know everyone has their issues but please pray for my family because coping with those is extremely hard.
