Brent did the babies' lunch today while I was doing laundry. I heard him from the other room say, "Look at this beautiful lunch daddy prepared for you guys!" haha. Five minutes later I heard him say, "I'm so disappointed in you guys throwing your food on the floor." Secretly, I'm glad they aren't perfect angels for him either. Five minutes later they were both passed out in their cribs. Sleepy heads.
Knox seems to be feeling better today, but he can't seem to kick whatever he has. The swabbed him for RSV yesterday, but never called us with results. I think it's just a stuffy cold. We are starting breathing treatments. He also had another ear infection.
I'm so over winter.
I woke up to these cuties this morning. Knox woke up at 6:30 so Brent put him in bed with us.
Here we are snuggling this morning while Brent was at Crossfit. They both have the cutest little teethy smiles lately. I pretty much love this picture.
It feels like St.Patrick's Day & Easter are so close together this year. I kind of like that St.Patrick's Day is on a Sunday.
I posted some things for sale yesterday and I think I may make a tab to the right for sale stuff. I figure I have so much to get rid of and I probably always will ;)
Brent brought me home froyo last night and we watched The Amazing Spider-Man. I love it. If you've not seen it, it's free on Starz OnDemand right now if you get Starz.
Today we got out and went to Target. I think Knox & Sloane saw food and decided they were hungry, so we started hit the baby food aisle for the squeeze pouches. I'm still tickled they will eat them and at least it has good fruits and veggies.
Sweet loves. I can't even take Knox's little profile. In the first picture, they were trying to put string cheese in Brent's mouth and in the bottom middle picture, Brent was putting chapstick on Knox.
She looks out the window for "quirels" :)
Knox has been plopping down in this position a lot lately. It's pretty cute. He will rest his elbows on the floor and prop his chin in his hands. He will come sit right by me and do it. Today, we were getting ready to walk out the door and he did it. Silly boy.
I think I've posted these before. We eat the red chile sauce on our enchiladas and love it. While at Target, we got the green chile to try out.
Speaking of food, I want to learn to make sushi. I want it to be good. I've been craving it a lot lately.
I may or may not have ordered Knox & Sloane a third set of Easter baskets. I know, I know. I waited too late last year to get the ones I wanted, so I just picked up some cute ones. Then, a few weeks ago, I saw some others I liked, so I got those. Now, I found THE ones. I can't wait. I know they will love them :)
Oh, in my post the other day about falling...I should have indicated we are teaching them to sit or get down. I should have indicated that. Sorry. I think I might have confused some. They've actually done a lot better this week. They do know how to get down safely. They turn to their tummies and slide down. I didn't really mean that we were just allowing them to jump and hope they don't fall. I was just indicating I know we won't always be always to protect them from falling no matter how much we teach them....in life, too....and that the couch has been a challenge...like I'm guessing many other things will be ;)
Okay, well I've been typing as Brent's been debating on a movie to watch. He probably looked for an hour. He just said, "Let's finish Twilight so we never have to talk about it again." Pssh, I bet he secretly wants to watch.
xoxo

I love that sassy leopard vest!! Sloane is STYLING.
ReplyDeleteBecause I like lists and my thoughts are scattered otherwise (ha!!).....
ReplyDelete1.) Poor Knox!! I hope he's feeling better as of this afternoon. I'm RIGHT there with you on feeling BEYOND ready for winter to be over (not technically a winter season here in Houston at all, but, you know....).
2.) Speaking of winter and cold/flu season, if one of us gets sick one more time I'm going to scream. And cry. And lay on the ground and throw a tantrum. But really.
3.) I wish Knox and Sloane could come over and play. And we could drink a mimosa and chat as they destroy our homes. ;) ;)
4.) In no time you'll feel so much more comfortable about them on the couch / climbing various things (which of course, you already know!). I was the exact same way with Jackson and a few months in, I realized he was more coordinated that I thought and a few small falls were all it took for him to learn (more or less) his limitations.
5.) 3 Easter baskets?!? I love this. Hahah! Can't wait to see the final set you decided on.
6.) I can so relate on your hubby feeding them lunch. Sometimes you put in so much effort and it all ends up on the floor (or fed to the dog!).
7.) I'm headed to Target shortly and am getting those enchilada sauce packets!
Happy Sunday!! Hope sweet Knox is feeling better! Can't believe Blissdom is in less than 20 days! Whaaaa?!!? Can't wait!
im so very tired of winter as well, but i know Spring and Summer is coming very soon.
ReplyDeleteYour kiddies are gorgeous
If you really want to learn to make sushi email me. My hubby makes some amazing sushi at home...and it looks pretty easy!! :)
ReplyDeleteEVERYONE is doing Crossfit now - I'm so behind but apparently it is all the rage! Do you do it to? Maybe we need Brent to do a guest post on it!
ReplyDeleteHe totally wants to watch it! ;-) And I just watched the girl with the curling iron video finally too. Oh my word. Bless her heart!
ReplyDeleteInterested to see the Easter baskets. I am still looking for one that I love for my little girl!
