Happy New Year’s Eve, friends!!
Do you all have big plans?
Our little nuggets are already tucked in bed and Brent and I are joining some friends for dinner just around the corner.
My how NYE has changed!
Now? It’s perfect.
It will always be perfect because we welcome a new year with the ones we love.
Next year? We are even planning a slumber party with our friends who have kids. How fun will that be?
Don’t get me wrong, occasionally I do like to put on sparkly things, and although I’ll probably only be gone for one hour tonight, I’m sporting sparkles.
New Year’s Resolutions? Nah, not really.
I mean, sure, there are things I want to improve and better, but not perfect. Perfection is over-rated just as New Year’s Eve can sometimes be.
If you don’t expect the world, you’ll never be let down.
I want to do my best at what I do. Will I be the best? Probably not.
All that matters is now. Every second. Not perfection.
I want to continue to savor these moments as they are passing all too quickly.
I want to be more organized in my head and in my home.
I want to read and learn more of God’s words.
I thought I would do a post about 2012, but I can’t even put it into words or pictures. Not today, anyway. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe in two weeks. I loved this year. It was fun; it was stressful; it was perfect for us.
This is probably my favorite picture from this year. We took it on Christmas Day. I think it describes our year.
Bring it on, 2013! 🙂
