For the Turner Auction, Very Jane donated a SUPER cute cupcake tower! You can see it here.

Since we partner together, they also sent me one AND they want to give one of you one! Very sweet people!

I LOVE mine! I can use it year round for any occasion!....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 29

Yesterday the babies were all over the place. We had TVs put on the wall in both living rooms so we bounced from one to room, which I think they enjoyed doing. Different toys and books in each room :)

They took two pretty good naps, but by the afternoon were already acting pretty tired again. I think they are definitely in a growth spurt. Brent took them for a wagon ride before dinner and he snapped a few pics. He said he caught Sloane dancing in the wagon, haha. She also lost a sippy cup on the ride and threw her bow off. Needless to say, it took them longer than normal.....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Days 27 & 28

Thanks SO much for the nice comments on my anniversary post :)

I hope you all had a good weekend!

I can't believe this month is almost over. Days 27 and 28 were lots of fun :) Saturdays and Sundays are our favorite days......

winner :)

Thanks to everyone who entered the Stella & Dot giveaway!

A winner was picked randomly....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 26

Not a very eventful Friday, yesterday! Just lots of playing and snuggles :)  I'll leave out the lots of poppy diaper part, but those, too. That's the only thing I won't miss with time passing.

We thought about getting out for a bit, but it turned out to be a really cool day and Sloane was still a bit irritable with her teeth. My parents dropped by to visit and Brent's dad and girlfriend came over and stayed for a bit last night so we could go to a fun little Halloween party. There were tons of kids, but Knox & Sloane didn't really nap yesterday so I knew they wouldn't last until 10pm. They hit they hay at 7 and Sloane slept until 9 this morning, when we decided to wake her! Knox slept until 8:15. Growing, little babies.....

I was hoping....

I was hoping the Betty Crocker brownies wouldn't be so good. Ya'll they are really good. It may have something to do doubling the amount of butter, but nonetheless, you can't tell they are gluten free :)

I was hoping that when we moved out of our last house, that our new house would have a walk in pantry. Cabinet pantries wear me out. Our next house will have one. I don't want to wish this house away, though. I love this house and everyday we are making it more our home....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 25

How is this week already coming to an end? I feel like it was JUST Sunday. Time flies. Knox was in a great mood today, but Sloane was teething. She mostly wanted to sleep and cuddle with me, which was fine by me for the cuddles. Her drool was out of control and I can't get her to wear a bib now unless she is eating.....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Days 23 & 24

*Be sure to check out this week's great giveaway!

Day 23 & 24 of this month were fun. Sweet little twin treats in my life :)

They have really been jabbering SO much this week! They've also been in good moods. Last week....

Hectic Holidays!

Another post in the Huggies' Series! This one is about the holidays with little ones :)

Last year Knox & Sloane were still so young around the holidays. We had them on a schedule by the time Thanksgiving rolled around, but they didn't get thrown off all too much.....

Rugs & Hats

I meant to post this a few weeks ago Sorry! I've had lots of people ask about these hats Knox and Sloane wore on Saturday and the rug in also in this post....and a few pics on Instagram.

Here are the details!

This. {day 22}

This picture I took yesterday. It was day the 22nd day of October; It was day 22 of my 31 Days of Twin Treats; It was when I really clicked, I have twins.

I know, I know, of course I know that I have twins.......

Giveaway! :)

If you read my last weeks' Midweek Random post, then you met my new Stella & Dot sponsor, Heather :)

Heather decided she wanted to give one of my readers a $25 credit to her Stella & Dot website! Very nice of her :)....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Days 20 & 21

Hope you all had a good Sunday :)

I loved the feedback on my last post. I'm definitely going to check Glee out :)

I've been doubling up on some Twin Treat posts, which some of you probably noticed. Some evenings, I just spend time with Brent and skip the blogging! I really enjoy doing it in the morning, but with Twin Treats, it's kind of a daily thing, so I originally liked doing it at night! I figure....

dinner & a movie

On Friday night, Brent and I went to dinner and a movie :) I had kind of felt locked in the house since my surgery so it was nice to get out for a bit.

I didn't have time to shower earlier in the day so I didn't want to go anywhere nice because I had hat hair after settling for a baseball hat for the grocery store. We just grabbed pizza at a local pizza place, Hideaway. I had heard they had a gluten free crust and I wanted to try. Several people on Twitter and Instagram asked for the recipe, but I didn't make it so no help there! The pizza was really good......

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 19

Yesterday Knox and Sloane turned FOURTEEN months old!

I thought I would snap some pictures of them playing in the yard. They are pretty hard to corral in the yard, but my mom and cousin were here so it was a bit easier for me to have my camera on me.....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 16

First of all, Knox & Sloane wanted to wish their Grammy a very happy birthday! They tell me they want to make their grandparents something special for their birthdays, but on days like today, mommy wasn't much of a help :( So, we will do something belated in the next few days!

My doctor called me in something to help my skin irritations from my surgery. They are still ridiculous....and gross..and painful. Blah. I hate complaining and not being able to do everything. #truth.

Knox & Sloane were super funny today...

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 15

Another Monday comes and goes!

My mom and cousin stayed the day with me as Brent went to work. I'm not sure what I'd do without them here. I'd be up a creak. I actually felt much better today, but turns out my skin had a major irritation to the bandages or something. NOT pleasant. In fact, miserable. Not really a "twin treat" but I'll post a picture below.

Anyways, my brother also came to town for a few days. Knox & Sloane were very excited to see him!......

Silent Auction Items: Cupcake Tower & Bracelets

If you've been reading, you have seen me post about my sweet friend, Julee, who recently lost her husband. A very tragic situation and my heart is still aching for her.

The blog and Twitter community, that Julee is apart of, has been so amazing in setting up several fundraisers for Julee and Preslee.

I wanted to take place in the silent auction....

Remembering Our Babies

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

I know a lot of people who have miscarried or had to say goodbye to an infant, myself included.

I know a lot of us think of those babies everyday. It's hard and it's heartbreaking.

We feel prayers and we appreciate the support. I continue to pray for all these women who have had to say goodbye too soon. I pray for those still yearning to be parents as well.

More information on this day here.

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 13 & 14

Here I am doubling up on days again :)

Yesterday, I got up and around quite a bit so by the time evening rolled around, I crashed. Therefore, no blog post. So last night, I slept...sleeping straight up, haha. Today, I slept some as well. Finally catching up.

My tummy is feeling a lot better, but the bandages they put on me immediately following surgery ended up really irritating my skin. So, I'm dealing with bad irritations where those were. Otherwise, the pain is so much better than just yesterday. I didn't even take a pain pill today until about 5pm.

Since I posted yesterday, I kinda feel like some of this is repeating myself, but now I have sweet pictures :) Knox & Sloane wore some cute razorback shirts.....

Peace out, gallbladder

I'm glad most of the comments on Thursday's gallbladder post gave me reassurance that I would feel SO much better soon. There are one or two I could have done without that scared me, but all comments welcome, of course :

So, I didn't bounce back up like I hoped I would today. Shocker, haha. My luck is apparently not the greatest. I didn't sleep last night because I was so uncomfortable. I thought surely my pain pills would help. I'm not a huge fan of pain pills, and I really would like not to feel pain when I'm taking them. That's not too much to ask, no? haha. Okay, I promise I'm not just going to complain until I'm 100% well. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel and things could obviously be much worse. Again, I'm just glad to have this all figured out and be on the road to being 100% healthy!.....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Days 11 & 12

I was hoping not to have to combine posts, but sometimes that just how life works!

Thank you all SO much for the comments yesterday..and tweets...and instagram comments... and texts. I very much appreciate the thoughts and prayers! Going into surgery with two babies was a different feeling, but I felt peace. Everything went well and I'm glad it's over with. I'm in quite a bit of pain, but I'm hoping it will improve once the gas is out. I'm trying to rest, but I'm having trouble sleeping because I wake up as soon as I move and feel pain. I'm walking around some in hopes to get the gas out and I am try to stay on top of my pain meds.

So far, this is definitely easier than my first lap surgery in 2008. Hopefully that stays true......

"Significant Gallbladder Disease"

After I posted a pic on Instagram earlier, I realized I forgot to mention I'm having my gallbladder removed tomorrow. Have I mentioned I hate surgery?

Once I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, my doctor wanted to run some tests to make sure everything "inside" looked okay. So I had an abdominal ultrasound and a HIDA scan. Everything looked really good except my gallbladder. It isn't functioning.....at all.

So, that explains a lot of my increasing nausea......

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 10

I took yesterday off blogging and Tweeting. I got on Instagram once or twice, mostly checking to see if Julee posted anything. Someone let me know that Matt's service would be streaming live. I was so glad I got to watch it. He was really an amazing man, which I knew, but it was such a good message.

Yesterday was a pretty standard day for us :) Playing, eating, pooping, giggle and thankfully, napping. Well only one, and not for me, but for Knox & Sloane.....

Day of Silence

Tomorrow, October 10th,  I'll be away from my blog and Twitter. If you are a new visitor, please read this post.

Tomorrow is Matt Turner's funeral and I want Julee to know that I'm thinking of her, praying for her and Preslee and supporting her. Forever.

This takes me back to two years ago when so many people in this blogging community were supporting our family by a day of silence. I felt it. I felt the prayers. Part of me aches now like I ached then, except now it's for Julee. It hurts and I'm so thankful for this community and I know she is, too.

We love you, Julee!

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 9

*Be sure to check out Scentsy for Julee here.
*My sponsor, juliethefish, is doing an Early Bird special fro Oct. 9-15. Enter "EARLYBIRD20" for 20% off your ENTIRE order.
*Another great sponsor, Mar-L's, sent Sloane a darling little dress. She wanted to model it all for you here :)

Today was a pretty standard day. I wasn't feeling all too great so thankfully my parents came and played with Knox & Sloane for a bit this afternoon. Did I mention my gallbladder is giving me fits? Ick. My gluten free lifestyle is going good, though! I'll do a post on it soon.

This morning we read books and I swear Sloane saw Mickey and tried to say his name. She is definitely talking more than Knox, which I expected. He did say "MAMA" about fifty times today, which made me grin quite a bit.

They shocked me at both lunch and dinner at the amount of food they ate. They are eating a lot. Knox is liking eggs, which I'm thankful for. He's always kind of been my picky eater. Oh, he also likes them with ketchup.

My mind and heart have still been on Julee and Preslee. Tomorrow is Matt's funeral and I'm aching for her. I'll be doing a blog & Twitter day of silence.

I cherish these moments. These smiles. These laughs. They are my life.

If you read my Day 8 post, you will know Knox & Sloane's favorite thing is to eat their cinnamon Chex off the random storage container in their play area.....well, at least it was yesterday and today. ha! Brent got down and pretended that he was going to snatch the Chex up and they thought it was HILARIOUS. They were tired and about to get in the bath, but they busted into giggles and my heart....it wanted to explode.

I know Julee will find happiness even after her heart has been shattered. I'm living proof.

The volume is a must. Sorry it's dark...not the best lighting.

Today was day 9 of 31 Days of Twin Treats.

Sweet Fall Dress!

*I posted day 8 of 31 days of Twin Treats earlier. It may be one of my favorites :)

One of my sponsors, Mar-L's Tams & Togs, recently sent Sloane the cutest little fall dess! I think it is ADORABLE! Sloane loved, it as well :) I posted a pic of it yesterday and here are the rest.

The dress actually has ties at the shoulders, which you can see here, but I decided to put a little shirt under it since we were having a cool day here, so you can't really see the straps in my pictures.

I think this dress can be worn for both October and November....with a shirt or without and the same with tights! Heck, if she is a slender tot, she might could even wear it as a shirt next fall :)

You may remember Knox & Sloane's other Mar-L's outfits that I posted here. All so very cute!

The first few pics I snapped with my iPhone. The rest I took with my bigger family. I could only get her to look at me for a few. The girl is ON THE MOVE. No, she's not sticking her finger in a socket...their are plugs in them, ha! Yes, I did give her a comb and bottles of sprinkles to play in hopes of getting her to sit/stand still for a few seconds, haha.

Thanks to Mar-L's for the super cute dress for miss Sloane! :)

If you are interested in ordering this dress, Mar-L's wanted me to let you know they will work VERY hard to get it made and shipped out very promptly so that your little one will have plenty of time to wear :)

*If you are interested in being a sponsor/advertising, I'm currently offering 30% off all spots. Details here
*Please check out Scentsy for Julee here

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 8

*Be sure to check out Scenty for Julee here.

Today was a pretty good Monday. I had an appointment this morning and then the babies and I hung out the rest of the day. Brent played in a golf tournament.

This was my favorite part of today. Last week, we all tried Cinnamon Chex. I was excited to find they were gluten free. I immediate loved them. Knox & Sloane, shockingly didn't really seem interested in them. Today, I thought I'd try again. I sat a handful of them on the little plastic container in our living room. Yes, we are using a plastic container as a barricade for the moment......

Scentsy for Julee

A while back my friend, Amanda, asked if I would be interested in hosting a Scentsy party in October. I said sure, of course!

Today, she told me she wanted to donate 30% of her profits for the ENTIRE month of October to Julee and Preslee. I told her that was incredibly generous of her and I would very much want to spread the word!

I've blogged about Scentsy quite a bit. I have it around my house and the plug-ins are my favorite. It all smells so good. Knox & Sloane both have a Scenty buddy, too!

I have some wonderful friends who sell it and I think everyone should give it a try.

Amanda set up a link for my blog on her Scentsy shop HERE. You can purchase anything online through that link.

Thanks for supporting this sweet family during this extremely difficult time.

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 7

I didn't post day 7 yesterday because I did this post. Please continue to keep Julee and their friends and family in your prayers. I'm going to try to participate in an auction I heard about (on Twitter) being set up. I'll let you know more details when I know them.

Yesterday was another typical weekend morning :) We did breakfast and played.

Thankfully, the sun came out pretty early so we anticipated a nice day to go to the fair. Also thankful the babies took a morning nap so they were able to last a few hours at the fair! weeks so I figured I would cheat a little. Luckily, I still don't have immediate sensitive so I was fine.

Getting these two little ones ready to get out the door is getting QUITE tricky. This is probably one of my favorite pictures of Knox. He is so cute with that little smile!
Since it was still pretty cold, we thought we better put hats on them. Thankfully, they are pretty good about leaving their hats on, although I should probably get coats with hoods at some point. Knoxy sported his vest, too :) Sloane wore her denim jacket, and Brent is obsessed with it. He thinks she looks cuter in it than anything else, haha.
We met Brent's dad and his dad's girlfriend at the fair and we were actually on time. Also getting a bit tricky :)

Right when we got there, I got word about Julee's husband so as we were parking, I lost it. My heart started physically hurting. I knew I couldn't walk around the fair crying so I got it together...and left my sunglasses on.

I didn't eat my typical fair food, but I enjoyed a big lemonade and a cheese on a steak..which I'm sure had a bit of gluten : / I hadn't had gluten in about 3

Knox & Sloane were great people watchers, and let me tell you, the fair brings some interesting people! I had Kim snap our picture and I probably should have done it in front of the carousel instead of infront of random people walking haha. Oh, and Knox clearly wanted nothing to do with it as he turned his head immediately.
After the fair, we came home and the babies rested for a bit and Brent and I watched an episode or two of Parenthood. Actually, I think Knox & Sloane ended up talking to one another while lying in their crib, but nonetheless, they got some downtime.

My mom called and asked if we wanted to meet her for dinner at a new BBQ place so we did. I don't think the food was very good, but my gallbladder nausea had kind of set in so I just wasn't hungry. I know I've now said this a few times, but Knox & Sloane are really over going out to eat. How long does that stage last? haha. They just get so restless. So, I really don't think they will be dining out. They don't freak out, but the just throw stuff on the floor and I feel bad. I know people are looking at us, but I mean such is life..they are kids in learning, haha. Sloane did want to flirt with the other tables and Knox decided he liked pickles.
It was a nice Sunday. It was a day like this particular day where you realize nothing else in the world matters besides gifts from God. I hugged Knox & Sloane extra tight and thanked God for Brent. I prayed to God to keep us safe.

This was day 7 in my 31 Days of Twin Treats.

Matt Turner

I know not everyone is on Twitter and I highly believe in the power of prayer so this post is important.

I've been following Julee's blog for years and she is one of the sweetest people. She is definitely one of those people I feel like I "know" although I have actually never met her. We've shared emails as we both journeyed though some battles to become parents during the same time period. I was extremely overjoyed when Julee became pregnant with Preslee. Sweet Preslee is now 10 months old.....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 6

*I'm currently offering a 30% discount on all advertising spaces. Details here. Be sure to check out my new great sponsors! There are some wonderful blogs and shops!

Well, I'm a day behind on posting. I typically do my Twin Treat posts at night, but last night we went to a movie and I was ready for bed when we got home!

We had a nice, relaxing Saturday.

They were pretty exhausted yesterday and took two, two and a half hour naps. I think it's funny how that happens on the weekend, but never during the week ;) I went to lunch with a friend and Brent hung with them and fed them lunch. I know lunch can get stressful, but he did great.....

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 5

*I'm currently offering a 30% discount on all advertising spaces. Details here. Be sure to check out my new great sponsors! There are some wonderful blogs and shops!

Itty Bitty

As part of the Huggies' series, I'm sharing my experience when Knox & Sloane were newborns. This time a year ago, they were still my newborn babies.

It will probably always blow my mind that I had twins. It's one of those, I-just-never-thought-I-would's.

Having said goodbye to Cohen fourteen months prior to having Knox & Sloane, I was pretty scared......

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 3

Thanks for the nice comments/texts on my last post!

Happy midweek :)

Today we got out of the house a few times, which is always nice. Knox, Sloane and myself met a few of my girlfriends for lunch, went to CVS and went to dinner with Brent when he got off work. They do good eating out, but it's starting to get a little tricky because they get restless quicker.....

Three Years Ago

October third is a date I will always remember. I took my first positive pregnancy test. It was the first day I knew I was pregnant with Cohen. I didn't know what the outcome would be of the pregnancy or what would happen in the future, but on that day, I knew that God had plans for us to have children.

I remember feeling this is to good to be true, but my sister-in-law kept assuring me that even though it was a fait line, it was there. After a year of treating PCOS and endometriosis, we got off birth control and began trying. A few weeks later, I was pregnant. Naturally, I thought no way.......

31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 2

We had a cozy little day today.

My mom watched the babies for a bit this morning. I had a HIDA scan to check the functionality of my gallbladder. It doesn't work, but that's another post. When I got home we did lunch and played  Knox actually ate pasta today, which is a big step! He likes it a bit al dente, come to find out.  .... oh and gluten free, too. They weren't much up for an afternoon nap....

J.Crew Winner!

Thanks to all who entered the giveaway I hosted with GroopDealz for the $100 J.Crew gift card!

A winner was selected randomly....

31 Days of Twin Treats :) Day 1

Today was definitely a Monday. I know, people say for someone working at home, all the days are the same, but they aren't really. They aren't for me anyways. Brent being home during the day and Brent not being home during the day are two completely different things.....

31 Days

I'm joining in with the Nester and many other people on her 31 day series.

You can check out everyone who is participating HERE. There are so many wonderful blogs.

If you have been reading for a while, you know I use to do "Twin Treats" post. They were basically just picture dumps and tidbits on what we had been doing that week. I did them on Fridays. They became a bit daunting and it was mostly because of the picture process. To get the pics off my phone.......
