Farewell 2012

Happy New Year's Eve, friends!!

Do you all have big plans?

Our little nuggets are already tucked in bed and Brent and I are joining some friends for dinner just around the corner.

My how NYE has changed!

Now? It's perfect.

It will always be perfect because we welcome a new year with the ones we love.

Next year? We are even planning a slumber party with our friends who have kids. How fun will that be?

Don't get me wrong, occasionally I do like to put on sparkly things, and although I'll probably only be gone for one hour tonight, I'm sporting sparkles.

New Year's Resolutions? Nah, not really.

I mean, sure, there are things I want to improve and better, but not perfect. Perfection is over-rated just as New Year's Eve can sometimes be.

If you don't expect the world, you'll never be let down.

I want to do my best at what I do. Will I be the best? Probably not.

All that matters is now. Every second. Not perfection.

I want to continue to savor these moments as they are passing all too quickly.

I want to be more organized in my head and in my home.

I want to read and learn more of God's words.

I thought I would do a post about 2012, but I can't even put it into words or pictures. Not today, anyway. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe in two weeks. I loved this year. It was fun; it was stressful; it was perfect for us.

This is probably my favorite picture from this year. We took it on Christmas Day. I think it describes our year.

Happy :)

Bring it on, 2013! :)

  1. Happy New Year. I am in bed with hubby and baby right now. I am DVRing the ball drop in case we miss it.

I also want to be more organized in my brain and home. Ever since having Emma I am so not my organized self.

  2. Hi Megan, Love the picture of y'all on Christmas morning. Glad you got to wear your sparkles last night. Happy New Year!

P.S. Your Christmas card was adorable!

  3. Happy New Year! I love the family picture! You are beautiful.
