When I found out I was having a boy and a girl, nursery ideas started running through my head. I honestly have no idea if Pinterest was around back then, but I've not been a member for all too long. I basically browsed websites and blogs for ideas.
I've always loved chevron. In January of 2010, I had a new little blog header made with a little grey chevron in the background. After browsing for fabrics.....
I found a grey and white chevron and decided that I wanted that to be my main pattern in Knox & Sloane's nursery. I figured it was gender neutral and I could find all sorts of things to go with it!

I love an eclectic feel, so I knew pretty quickly that's what I wanted for their nursery. I didn't want a specific "theme" or things to be all too matchy matchy.
I wanted it to be a soft place with bright, colorful accents. I wanted it to feel relaxing.
Since I would have two cribs, I went with white because I knew that would feel/look so heavy in the room. I've always loved the cribs we got and I was tickled to be buying two of them I went with matching crib skirts, but changed up with color on the bumpers, keeping the same pattern. I love polka dots! I had a wonderful lady make my bedding. She did great!
I had a specific standing shelf in mind, but I ended up finding something randomly at a little local market. I love it!
Most of the little prints and knick-knacks are off Etsy. I think Etsy is a great place to find unique and orignal items.
As for the glider/chair, my advice would be to TRY before you BUY! We ordered one and it was a rocker. It was not comfy and it rocked and moved around too much. We later got a glider and it was MUCH much better. We actually ended up using both, which was nice.
I wanted a chandelier. I decided I wanted one in my nursery no matter how many babies or the gender. I tried to pick one that wasn't too feminine. It's gold, which I had several other gold accents, that I love.
I think the nursery ended up being the perfect little room for Knox & Sloane. These pictures were actually taken at our old house, their first house. I posted more pictures HERE and HERE.
Their new nursery is basically the same, but the curtains are much longer, as the ceilings are much taller. I got a rod that is more of the color of the chandelier, frames & mirror. I will try to take some pictures of it soon!

Love it! I'm a huge lover of chevron. Do you by chance remember where you got the shelves?
