31 Days of Twin Treats: Day 15

Another Monday comes and goes!

My mom and cousin stayed the day with me as Brent went to work. I’m not sure what I’d do without them here. I’d be up a creak. I actually felt much better today, but turns out my skin had a major irritation to the bandages or something. NOT pleasant. In fact, miserable. Not really a “twin treat” but I’ll post a picture below.

Anyways, my brother also came to town for a few days. Knox & Sloane were very excited to see him!……
He also picked them up cute little toy puppies on the way over. Knox carried his around all day. He especially loved carrying the string in his mouth, which we had to keep an eye on.

They were sleepy heads, but not much into napping. I think they were just excited to have people, that aren’t around everyday, playing with them! I loved hearing their giggles, too :)

I can’t take how cute these pictures are. I think Knox really thought their was a way he could keep the string on his tongue, sweet thing.

Sloane loves this little bin…

I posted earlier about today being Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. I lit our candle for Cohen at 7pm. I know he’s always with us and I know so many lit their candles.

Continued prayers for you all.

Probably another TMI picture…I felt better about the other one having bandaids on, but here are two of the irritations. The one above my belly button looks the same, but my belly button one did fine.

I’m putting steroid cream on now, but if not better looking tomorrow, my surgeon wants me to give him a call. I know I’ll be better in no time, but it I hate that my skin is so sensitive. I know it could be worse, though!
My mom made us dinner tonight. I may be unlucky with my skin, but I’m super lucky to have a good momma :) Meatloaf, potatoes, onions and cauliflower and tapioca. All delicious. I’ll post the tapioca recipe soon!

*Don’t forget to check out the auction item I posted earlier for Julee’s silent auction HERE.

This was day 15 of 31 Days of Twin Treats.

I had surgery done on my stomach to remove a melanoma a few years ago and the worst part of the whole thing was the irritation from the bandages they used. It was horrible – I'm sorry you're having to deal with it too! I ended up using gauze and "paper" tape (you can get it at any drugstore) and that was so much better. Hope your feeling better soon!

I found out I was allergic to the steri strips they use over stitches after a surgery. It was the WORST feeling ever. I would rather a million surgeries than to have to go through that again. I dont even have sensitive skin or that many allergies – of course I had to have a plastic surgeon FIX the incisions b.c the reaction was that bad. I feel your pain :) Feel better soon!

Glad you are starting to feel better but sorry to hear of your skin problems. The pictures of Sloane in the bin and Knox walking his new puppy are too cute.

Sending you get well wishes for a speedy recovery! I lit candles for our babies last night at 7pm, too. Lots of prayers went up for sweet Cohen and all those we are missing. On an unrelated, side note: Even your lounge, post-surgery clothes are cute! Love that polka-dot hoodie. Can I find that in NC? :)
