Recently, I tried out some of their new conditioner. The thing about conditioner, I normally use quite a bit, but I only condition my hair about once a week or once every week and a half. Not often.
I tried the Nourishing Oil Care Daily Treatment Conditioner.
My hair is naturally coarse and curly, but I typically dry it straight. I have SO much hair that when I do wear it curly, it's just big, feels frizzy and well, not really my favorite. Other people seem to think it looks cute, which nice flattering, but I feel like a punk rocker. Part of me just doesn't want to put all sorts of product in it to make it look "tame." Also, I have to wash it way more often if I wear it curly because I can't sleep on it, night after night, like straight hair.
Oh, I also get my hair thinned and it's still...well, thick! I'm not complaining, though, just stating the facts, haha.
When I first tried the Dove conditioner, I could see a difference as soon as I dried my hair. My first initial thought was that maybe I didn't get it all washed out. However, once a few hours had passed, I decided that it was just less frizz more doing what I wanted it to. It felt healthy when I ran my fingers through it and I feel liked it looked pretty shiny.
I will also say, the second time I used it, I realized I probably didn't need to use quite as much as I had been with other conditioners. There are some out there that I feel like I really have to lather it on for it to do it's job, if you will. I think with this one have the oil care in it, that gave it a little more boost! I think it made it softer right away versus using a lot in order to weight it down to achieve softness.
If you are looking for a conditioner to help frizz and gift you a soft and shiny look, I would definitely recommend this. I wouldn't use much in each wash and maybe not even use it everyday, but I think it would definitely give you what you are looking for!
