If you weren't around over the weekend, be sure to check out my post Saturday. I shared a super wonderful blog :)
We had a great weekend. It went by too quickly, of course!
Friday afternoon, I hosted a little playdate. Knox & Sloane are finally at the stage where they are really playing with other kiddos. Just a few weeks ago, they still seemed so fragile as far as falling over and not bouncing right up. Not anymore; they are quick and they love everyone.
I can close off our kitchen, little living area and breakfast room, so that makes it nice that there isn't so much chasing for the moms :) I need to make an adjustment with the breakfast table because it's currently wrought iron and glass. Neither too baby/kiddo friendly. We had a great time and we are hoping to rotate houses each week.
I love hosting :)
Mama, thanks for inviting this pretty little girl over!
Friday evening, after the babies hit the hay, I met Jessica and Ashley for dinner. It was so nice catching up with them! We probably could have sat for longer than we did, catching up. Several other girls were going to join, but they had things come up. This includes, Lindsey, who is going to be welcoming her sweet baby Jack tomorrow! Saying prayers for a wonderful day.
Saturday morning, after the babies morning nap, we headed to a picnic for a client of Brent's. We knew we wouldn't be able to stay long because it is SO hot here. Luckily, there was a nice breeze. We stayed for about half an hour before they started getting whiney, sweaty and rosy cheeks! We then took them to Chickfila for the first time :)
I love this picture...
Dada, can I help you buckle up Knox?
I mean his face, seriously. So sweet. He gave everyone teethy smiles ;)
Even though she has teeth now, she still gives her gummy smile sometimes :)
Happy to be at CFA, duh.
No, they didn't actually eat CFA. They had their on-the-go food, mum mums & mush pouches.
The rest of the weekend we worked around the house. We got quite a bit done, which is nice. Brent took my 6 bags of recycling to the recycle place. I'm pretty bad about reminding him what day to set it out. It's only been coming twice a month. So, it had built up. Nice to have a car big enough to haul things now :)
We watched Safe House Saturday night. I thought it was a good movie, though a little bloody for me.
I worked, for what seems like forever, on hanging crystals on a new chandelier. I LOVE it. I ordered it for above the breakfast table, but I like it above both so now I need to decide before it's actually hung!
Any big plans for the 4th?
