I first posted here about our master bathroom makeover.
I do honestly believe paint is the most important feature when it comes to a makeover. Paint really changes so much and sets the feel of the room!
With that being said, sometimes it's hard for me to decide! I'm a rather indecisive person. Painting isn't typically an easy process, so my goal is to get a color I like the first time.
While parts of me are still debating, I think this wall color is what I'm going for.

When I look at this picture, I see a bit more blue, but after using Chip It! I think that if I were in the actual room, a version of this green would be apparent to me! My goal is to get it light.
If you are wondering what is going on in the picture above, I've used the new Sherwin-Williams paint color match program, Chip It! It's great for color matching to get a palette to work with. You just place the Chip It! button right in your tool bar and then you can use it on any picture! I posted all the details HERE.
Back to the beautiful bathroom above. (Oh, by the way, the image was found here.) We don't have dark wood floors or a dark wood vanity, but I'm thinking maybe I will do towels that fit into the palette that are either close to Zeus or Collonade Gray. I think both are pretty colors!
I also think with those two colors and Extra White I'll go with silver and even gold tones for pretty accents.† I also love a pop of color. I'm thinking I'll probably go with some gray or white towels.
I love glass and mercury glass, so I guess I'll want to add some of that as well.
Who doesn't love pretty, bright flowers!? Always a must.

Mercury glass bath items & towel found at Target. White vase found at Design Darling, though I'm really going for the pink peony.
I think I will probably use this palette when shopping for a rug to make sure it kind of ties together with the colors. The nice thing is I can even print the palette out and take it shopping with me!I can't wait to get everything going and in place. I also can't wait to show you the final color on the walls, as well as a before and after shot!
Be sure to watch the Chip It! video and drag the Chip It! button below to your toolbar!
For a chance to win a $1,000 Visa gift card and a $200 Sherwin-Williams gift card, tell me about an image you'd like to "chip" (feel free to include a link to the image).

ReplyDeleteWe need a bedroom makeover!! Our house is only five years old and still feels brand new but I have to say my least favorite room is my bedroom. I told my husband I wanted to update it this year with a new "sexy" look. I don't even know what that means but I want it!:)
