Have you all seen previews for the NEW Dallas?
It premieres Wednesday, June 13 at 9/8c on TNT. I can't wait to see the new take on such a great drama.
I will admit, I was that too-young-to-be-watching girl who was watching old Dallas re-runs... in junior high. I was also a Designing Women and Facts of Life junkie.
The new Dallas catches my eye because all of the younger actors. Josh Henderson actually used to date my sister-in-law. Small world!
Some of the new Dallas stars are Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo and Brenda Strong, and they will be joined by iconic stars Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, and Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing.
I don't know. I'll always think of Step by Step when I see Patrick Duffy. Anyone else? haha. All kidding aside, it does seem like a pretty interesting cast all together!
Brent and I get into shows, but we often don't get them a long enough chance. We really only have a select few shows that we have stuck to watching. I'm hoping we give this one a chance and that it proves to be good because I'm excited about 'the new Dallas.' :)
I'm curious if it will have as much drama and as many cat fights as the original. You don't see too much of that unless it's on reality TV, and let's face it, is that reality actually real or are they putting on a show?
Anyways, I guess only time will tell.
I also think it's pretty cool that this show has a game that goes along with it. A game you play. A game where you can actually WIN prizes. Pretty cool, yes? I mean I wouldn't mind airline vouchers and a shopping spree. All you have to do is go on the site and declare your allegiance to a Dallas character (before 9pm EST, June 13th) and you can have a chance to win over a thousand prizes!
Personally, I would pick John Ross Ewing who is played by Josh Henderson!

ReplyDeleteI am actually looking forward to watching! I watched the original Dallas when i was VERY young...like under 10! I joked with my mom about letting me watch that (and Falcon Crest, Love Boat and Fantasy Island! LOL!). I am looking forward to see how the new generation is verses what I remember from the late 70s!

ReplyDeleteJosh Henderson was born in Dallas but grew up here in Tulsa! He graduated 2 years before I did at Memorial High School, he's a great guy and I'm so excited to see him in "The new Dallas"!

I have been reading your blog for a while and this is my first time commenting. I was too young to watch Dallas but had to tune in this week because my neighborhood is right across the street from South Fork Ranch. I drive by it almost everyday. It was so fun to to see it on TV and be able to tell what was there and what wasn't. My husband and I also dont give shows long before we give up but we both really liked it! What did you think?
