Her New Friend

While we were in Dallas, the babies really did great in the hotel room. It was a bit tricky because even though it was a 'suite' it only had french doors with sheer curtains on them. Though we were worried about sound and light, I think they were so tired that they fell asleep within minutes of us putting them in their pack n plays for naps and bed.

Against my germaphobe tendencies, there was no way we could keep them off the carpet in our room. I guess that's just part of the package.

One of the funniest things was Sloane heading to the mirror. If the french doors were open, she immediately took off to the closet, which was across from the vanity, right off the bedroom. She started doing that after this video.

She found herself in the mirror. She found her friend and she is fascinated.

I don't have a long mirror at home and we always walk up to random mirrors while we are holding them, but this is the first time she paid attention and played like this. Needless say, she will be a friendly girl.

It's hilarious. She just smiles and smiles at her friend ;) She tried to kiss her and hold her hand, too! haha. {Ignore my voice chiming in. That is Brent's voice playing with Knox in background.}

 Long way to go on the widow's peak ;)

  8. so precious. If you want just for a bit more fun w/ floor playtime. I did it for the babies I nannied & they LOVED it. It made floor play time more interactive & super funny...

    Get one of those over the door mirrors or long mirror they are like $20 (you can find them anywhere with stores in full dorm prep mode). Then secure it w/ command strips to the floor length wise. The one I got had a thicker frame on it & rounded corners.

  10. So much fun!! And I agree, I think Sloane is going to be a very friendly little girl!! Hannah really wanted Sloane to turn around and talk to her instead of just talking to the little girl in the mirror!! Don't think I've laughed so hard in awhile. She kept yelling @ the computer and trying to touch Sloane to get her attention.

  12. My daughter (Hannah) loved the mirror too! When she could talk, she called her reflection "baby Hannah", because of course, the real Hannah was a big girl! So cute! Thanks for sharing. I was instantly transported back to my own sweet girl in the mirror!

  19. One of my favorite pictures of my "niece" is of her making out with herself in a dressing room mirror, right about that age. She was also completely in love with pictures and videos of herself :)
