We have crawlers! At first I wasn't sure if it's technically considered crawling or just dragging, but they are on their stomach getting around the room. Not fast, so really more of a drag, but nonethless, they are getting places!
The are fighting over toys, but never really any tears, just lots of tug-a-war!
Between the both of them, they have five teeth! It's been a tough teething process, but they have been troopers!
We went to a playdate that was lots of fun.
Our first Easter as a family of four was very wonderful! Here are Knox & Sloane with the Easter Bunny :) This coming week, I'll post an Easter picture recap!
They've started watching Baby Einstein. We noticed if they were in the room and the TV is on, they wouldn't even pay attention. None. So, one morning we turned cartoons on for them. They seem to kind of look at them for a few minutes then they could care less. Then, I remembered someone had gifted us Baby Einstein and they were hooked! We were watching it once a day in the mornings. They seem to be paying less attention and playing with toys some, but it is nice to have on throughout the day, that way if they want to look, they can...and it's playing classical music :) They mostly play with me and each other.
They like when I read to them.
They are copying things we do and it's so fuuny. Yesterday, I kept saying to Sloane, "doggie...woof woof"...and she would pull her chin in and smile so big. It's hilarious. She did this when Brent was out of town and I would say "daddy is coming home today!"
Sloane is such a girl. She keeps her toys pointed and I still catch her crossing at the ankle. She is just dainty.
She started making a clicking sound with her mouth, so now when we do it, she will start up and just smile.
Knox is all boy. He bangs his toys harder and pulls stronger.
Knox is a daddy's boy. He LOVES for Brent to hold him. He will play on his chest, cuddle and sleep. It's the sweetest thing I've ever seen.
Knox is still having skin troubles. We saw a dermatologist and they day we went in, he said he had miliaria, which is heat rash. He said it wasn't necessarily caused by heat, but could be a number of things. He said it's just his sweat glands developing and he would outgrow it. It's been tough and itchy for little man. Some days it's much better than others. He has some irritation from drool as well. I've tried no dariy, no difference there.
Knox smiles so big at Elton. He loves him.
Knox woke up with a runny nose two days ago and Sloane woke up with one today. I'm hoping it's just allergies. She sneezes several times throughout the day. It's always two times in a row. Today and yesterday afternoon, it's been four times in a row. And, I notice when she eats, she is rubbing at her face more. I think allergens are just high here right now. At least I'm praying that's all it is. Though, maybe I should see if they should get on allergy medicine? Do babies do that? Is it helpful?
They learned to look when I point. It use to be they would just look at my hand, but now they look at what I point to.
They are still giggle boxes. I have some great videos I want to upload soon.
Food is going well. So far nothing they don't really like. They will eat it all. We are about to start some more finger type food. Which ones did you start first? Naturally, I'm paranoid about choking : /
What about sippycups? good ones? favorite ones?
They are nursing 3 times a day, having solids three times a day and I pump for their bedtime bottle. Knox Is getting formula in his bottle to plump up?
Knox still takes a paci, but only in her crib. We live it and her lovely there and she gets them at naps. Sometimes if she is teething, we will give her paci elsewhere. Knox still loves his lovey as well. It stays in crib, too.
Sloane is can be so bashful. She tucks her little chin in and turns her head to the side when someone talks to her.
They are taking a morning and afternoon nap. Sometimes they last for only an hour and a half sometimes two and a half. Just depends.
Finally getting more hair! Knox seems to be gettitng darker, but Sloane's is still somewhat light, which is weird to us! Of course, it can come from the family :)
We debated taking a beach vacation this year, but we decided to wait. We've got too much going on and we figured with them this young, such a long trip would be a lot of work in route and once we got there. We are hoping to make the beach a tradition starting next year :)
At 31 weeks..
Knox started sitting up on his own without a boppy or any help (Sloane was 30 weeks)
Sloane started sleeping on tummy more while in her crib..mostly during naps.
I think that's about all I have :) I'll be doing their seven and eight month posts this week :) Luckily, I did take the seven month pics closer to seven months. They will be eight months on the 19th! CRAZY!
We've been trying to get professional pics done for about a month now, but everytime we've been able to schedule, the weather acts up or Knox's skin flares up big time. Hoping either this weekend or next we can get them done! Six month pics, better late than never :)
These pics aren't probably in order by the weeks.
Knox, here you are before going on an outing with daddy.
You guys both love for you to be in the Bjorn.

I just love looking at the photos of your beautiful twins!! They are precious!
ReplyDeleteAnd that photo of Brent with one of them while he is wearing the red polo is my fave!
Your babies are so beautiful!!! You look amazing! I love how they 99% of the time match each other!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute! My 3 year old Hudson still sleeps like Knox does! We call it frogging :-)
ReplyDeleteI so miss them! I can't wait to come in this week and be able to hold them, play with them, just really love on them! I'm uncle Brian, just so no one thinks it's some creepy dude. Love y'all and can't wait to see ya!
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI read your blog and follow you on twitter but I've never commented before...I just have to tell you though that I think Sloane has the prettiest eyes I've ever seen!!! I think that about every pic you post of her. Both of them are so adorable though:)
ReplyDeleteit's amazing how fast they are growing, so so so sweet
ReplyDeleteSo darling! Some of the first finger foods we did were avocado slices (if they're nice and ripe they just mash up anyway), Cheerios (doctor said they're hardly considered solid because of how porous they are), and Baby MumMums. I'd never heard of MumMums but they are rice rusks that kind of dissolve when they eat them. I was so scared of the baby choking too!!
ReplyDeleteOmg sloane looks just like you and knoxy looks so much like Brent! My boy is two months younger than your babies so teething is in our very close future :( can you do a post on how it's going for you all? I have no clue what to do when it starts full force! I wanted to tell you though for finger foods we got this mesh feeder I think the brad is munchkin (fromWalmart ) and you can put a whole piece of fruit or veggies in t ad they learn to chew and the food comes thrugh the mesh so NO choking! It's life.changing! We've put kiwi, banana, frozen peach slices, banana and watermelon on it and he has loved it. Try it !
ReplyDeleteTHey are adorable.
ReplyDeletesippy cups- our daughter didn't get the hang of a traditional sippy cup for a long time (like 13-14 months) so we had to use straw cups. She decided at 9 months that bottles were too restricting and refused to drink from them. We switched to a straw cup and she did so much better and still prefers straw cups (and dentist say straws are better for them than traditional sippy cups). There are tons of straw varieties out there. We had to help for quite awhile but eventually she figured out how to hold them. Hopefully they will still continue to take the bottle at night but I say go for it with the cups, at least with water in them.
We used the mesh feeder pouches too and she loved to suck on it and chew on it and she could never get a piece too big to choke on.
First of all, you look great! I cannot believe the twins are already almost 8 months. Where does the time go?? Ok a few things... Rowan has allergies too, sneezing, runny nose and puffy eyes. My pediatrician said he can take children's Claritin or Benadryl. But you will have to call your pediatrician and get the dosage of course. I bought Rowan a Nuby sippy cup last month, the has handles that are easy for him to hold and it comes with two different spouts, one is more like a nipple and that is the one he currently uses and does great with. There is also one that is more like a normal sippy cup, but we havn tried it yet. I got the cup at Walmart. I also got the munchkin feeder thing with the mesh this past weekend. I havent tried it out yet but I think it would be good for bananas and my mom pointed out you could put ice cubes or even frozen fruit in it and soothe sore gums!
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful babies! Thanks for sharing them!
These pictures are just too precious!
ReplyDeleteHi! I was super paranoid about choking when my kiddos started on solid foods - one of my friends told me about these tricks - for cheerios (or anything else that is really dry), take a small handful and zoom your hand under the water faucet in the sink. The cheerios don't really get wet, but they are a little bit softer and don't get stuck in little mouths! Also, instead of slicing or cubing fresh fruit and veggies to start with, try shredding them. Same great taste, same nutrition, and fewer mommy worries!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a gorgeous family!! You are so pretty and such a good mommy!! The babies are adorable and I just LOVE how you dress them! I think it is so cute how their outfits are not exactly the same but always coordinate each other! Everything about them is so so so CUTE!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYours are like ours! S looks like you and K like Brent. Ours are the same way. Mine are 7 months and they LOVE frozen waffles still frozen- good for teeth and practice chewing. They also love Mum Mums, soft bananas and avacados. You look amazing and as always I LOVE reading.
ReplyDeleteYou look great!!!! Those are some sweet (and well dressed) babies!
ReplyDeletesweetness! We love the Praise Baby DVDs. Babies can enjoy some visual stimulation and the house gets filled with worship music, win-win!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet pictures of your adorable babies!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness they are getting so big! Adorable.
ReplyDeleteSo very cute!!!! Love all the pictures!
ReplyDeleteSince I always comment about how adorablethe children are, I'll start out this comment by saying YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!!! :) Absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNow, about those SUPER ADORABLE babies...I could have looked at a hundred more pictures. I can't get enough of their sweet faces! Each picture I would say, "Oh my gosh, I have to comment on that one..." and then each one got more and more adorable! ;) The one of Brent in the red shirt and Knox laying on his chest...oh my gracious, SOOO cute! The one of Sloane looking in the mirror with the bloomers (?) on her head is too cute for words! :)
Thank you for sharing your sweet babies with us! :)
Such beautiful babies! You will be so grateful someday that you have a ton of pictures. I love looking at them, they are just precious!
ReplyDeleteAww...I could look at those two darlings all day :)

ReplyDeleteI bet you never get tired of kissing those cute little cheeks!
ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet, I love these posts! I just die over all of their cute outfits. Do you know who makes the onesies where Sloane has a dog and Knox has a monkey? We had that dog onesie (received as a gift) and I loved it... would love to know where it's from. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAs a grandmother, I would just love to get my hands on your two angels! I know both sets of grandparents are loving being with them! Thanks for the precious pictures!!
ReplyDeleteThe babes are adorable as always --- just wanted to also point out how fabulous you look! Keep doing what you're doing sister! :)
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! And you look great!
ReplyDeleteI could just eat those babies up! They are so precious and girl, you are so pretty (and so skinny)!!
ReplyDeleteHey Megan :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a bit since I've commented. I admit I've been somewhat of a lurker lately, but LOVE your Blog, love your sweet pictures and encouraging words. It's hard to believe our babies are getting so BIG isn't it? Just weeks apart it seems like yesterday I was pregnant along with you and I couldn't wait to meet our bundles!
Love the pics of them feeding themselves! Haha priceless. And hoping Knox skin clears up! Ryder gets heat rash from season change but goes away after a week or so. Does oatmeal in his bath help?
Brynley LOVES puffs, they dissolve right away so no choking worries :)
Laura
Oh, they are so darling! I LOVE how Sloane crosses her ankles. That cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe they're already 34 weeks! They are too precious!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love seeing Knox and Sloane grow! I have boy girl twins as well... Jack and Lucy... they are 18 months old! Seeing them takes me back in time! Such a sweet, sweet time! Every day gets more and more fun, girl! Enjoy every minute!!!! I know you are!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, they are adorable, getting so big, y'all are so cute!! :)
ReplyDeleteGood first finger foods:
ReplyDeletediced avocado
Dole Mandarin oranges and diced peaches
Puffs
cooked diced sweet potato (kinda smushed)
diced cooked apples and carrots with a little cinnamon (once again, pre-smushed)
Maybe this will give you a few ideas.
The most adorable twins! Knox and Sloane are so cute, but Sloane has the SWEETEST facial expressions! Love see all the pictures. Amazing little babes. :)
