I recently had the opportunity to try out several Darphin products and I wanted to share my experiences with you!
I’ve blogged before about not having a good regimen in place for helping my aging skin. I’ve made a point over the last year or so to get better about this. I’ve begun to wonder if certain products, perhaps the more expensive ones, really make more of a difference than the cheaper ones. Though I don’t know for sure that the costlier products are more effective, after trying Darphin, I believe it’s possible.
Mr. Darphin opened one of the first beauty institutes in Paris in 1958. You can truly tell how much time and effort he put forth to create a luxurious line of beauty products made up of plant extracts and botanical aromas. They do have a sense of very high quality that I haven’t always used on an everyday basis. Of course, now I hope to. 🙂
The products I have been trying are Age-Defying Dermabrasion, Wrinkle Corrective Eye Contour Cream, Age-Defying Lip Balm and Azahar Cleansing Micellar Water.
I want to talk first about the Azahar Cleansing Micellar Water because it’s something I’ve used twice a day and thoroughly enjoy. To start off, it’s no-rinse! How nice is that? You just take a cotton ball, put the water on it and go over your eyes, lips and face. It takes make-up off and cleanses. I typically have sensitive skin around my eyes. If I use something strong, it immediately dries me out and makes the area around my eyes quite itchy and red. This didn’t do that at all.
Next, the Age-Defying Lip Balm. Who would have thought? Honestly, my lips are something I don’t think about all too often. I am relatively good about wearing a lip balm with sunscreen in the summer. I really do feel like my lips are just smoother. They feel soft. I didn’t really think this was something that I would ever notice, but I can tell when I rub them together. The lip balm is supposed to help with age lines on your lips as well. Again, didn’t think of those before.
The Age-Defying Dermabrasion is something else I’ve really been able to appreciate helping the texture of my skin. I have been hearing for years about micro-dermabrasion and how it’s really beneficial for the skin. I’ve tried several and I feel like I did notice less visible pores and softer skin more quickly with this one. I can only imagine it will improve more if I continue to use it. I definitely have dark spots and uneven skin tone and I know this product is supposed to help with those as well. Again, I have relatively sensitive skin and I’ve not had any issue with irritation since starting this.
The final Darphin product I tried is the Wrinkle Corrective Eye Contour Cream. I know this is something I need and need to stick with. So far, I can tell the make-up around my eyes seems to look smoother. That’s the thing, I’ve been using concealer because I feel like I need it under my eyes. So rubbing that on sure isn’t going to help my wrinkles. I’m not sure I’ve used this long enough to see much difference in the wrinkles yet, but I have hopes that this cream will help!
I do think the quality of these products is superior to many I’ve tried and not necessarily blogged about. I’m also very thankful for many of the natural ingredients found in these products. I’m always hoping to use fewer chemicals on my skin, as I’ve mentioned in the past.
