We received the Oreck AirInstinct™ 200 air purifier at the beginning of December and I'm SO thankful to have welcomed it into our home. I was quite nervous about Knox & Sloane breathing particles in the air. I know, but they were so itty bitty and I just wanted clean air. I was also paranoid about our house being on the market and people coming in and out. When Oreck contacted me, I knew right away the AirInstinct™ 200 would be going in the nursery! We had a purifier in our bedroom, but I wasn't really sure if it was doing it's job. It was just kind of there.

The AirInstinct™ 200 has indicators and filters. It lets you know what's going on with the air in your house, which I like.

The AirInstinct™ 200 is compact and takes up very little room! I can also move it without any hassle. I can lift it with one arm, which is always a plus!
The AirInstinct™ 200 is quite and even has a silent mode! I've never thought we really needed the silent mode, but it's there for those who like things extra quiet.
One of my most favorite features is the mode light. We don't leave this on during the night, because the babies like it dark, but during the day I have it on. The light colors indicate what's going on in the air. I love this. You can tell if the air is clean or if it's working hard to clean it up.

The most helpful thing I can tell you....we've been using this for four months and we know it works. We've cleaned the filter. It does it's job!

You can tell we leave the curtains open because we want the babies to have nice sunlight when possible.
The filter picks up things we don't want in the air! Let's face it, it's inevitable for our air not to get dust and other little particles in it. I'm actually thankful when it's time to clean and we see this...

I learned that the particles (dander, pollen, etc.) that the purifier cleans from the air can stay suspended in the air for hours otherwise! Bleck!

ReplyDeleteThis is excellent since there are currently people in my house trying to clean the black mold out of my kitchen. I'm SEVERELY allergic to mold and I'm pregnant, so my nursery (and my nose) needs one!

ReplyDeleteI love that the light lets you know when and how hard it is working. Also, the fact that it automatically cleans when it senses dust, etc. in the air is great... one less thing for mama to think about!

ReplyDeleteI need to invest in one of these! We live in Florida, so we have early springs (and terribly pollen) and my 6 month old keeps getting a runny noise. I especially enjoy how quiet it is and the nifty light on it :)
