Gosh, I closed my eyes and February was over. I still wanted to get caught up on these twin treats posts because I do plan to put them in a little book and I wanted to include their pictures.
I am going to do their 6 month post soon. I love doing a monthly comparison for that.
So, Knox & Sloane both battled their first sickies during these past few weeks. Luckily, they are both doing much better. We are so proud of Knox for being a big boy at the hospital. Don’t get me wrong, he cried and cried and whined and it was pitiful, but he really was strong. And oh what a flirter he is. All the nurses just loved him.
They are both teething now. It’s really lovely to have two babies teething at once, haha.
Knox has TWO teeth! He has his two bottom, middle teeth. Isn’t that crazy? It just seems so early and he still seems like a baby. Okay, well he doesn’t, I guess. In fact, I catch myself more and more saying, gosh they are looking like such kids now. Still makes me a little sad, but I know every stage will be fun!
Before the sickies hit us, the weather was pretty nice and we were getting out a bit. They do pretty good out and about.
Knox went to the doctor on the 17th for his eye. His case is moderate. I really don’t remember the medical term the doctor used, but I’m pretty certain it goes along, or means the same, as ptosis. The doctor actually said had the lid been covering half the pupil, he would be going into surgery very quickly. I guess if the pupil gets covered like that, it can cause the brain to shut down. The doctor said Knox’s eye was doing good on vision, but this could cause a astigmatism. So, we will keep an eye on vision. Right now, he is tracking really good and is seeing just fine.
Both Knox & Sloane can almost sit without any assistance, but quickly topple over. I don’t think it will be too long. Knox is really our monkey. He rolls around so much. Sloaney still seems content with handing in one spot.
They both love falling asleep with their loveys. We usually get them out of the crib before we go to bed. They’d probably be fine, but Sloane really loves putting hers over her face. Knox mostly likes to just snuggle his by his face.
We took some time off from oatmeal, but have added it back this week. They like it and eat it well. We are about to add in food!
Knox skin seems to be doing pretty good. When we were settling in the hospital last week, the doctor said it really looked like it was his drool that was aggravating it.
Sloane’s skin, on the other hand, poor thing. I’m thinking it’s eczema. She has one spot on the side of her forehead that will not go away. We’ve tried many different things. It keeps itching her, and she keeps scratching it. We cut and file her nails SO often, but she still manages. It’s kind of in her eyebrows and in between the eyes as well. I hate it for her and I hope it clears up soon.
Kind of a picture overload, I’m sure. A lot are of Knox’s hospital stay since I was there the majority of last week.
The week before they were sick we went to run a few errands. We put their sunglasses on them for the first time and they loved them. Sloane just froze and it was SO FUNNY. I called her my little cee-lo.
These are in no order from the past few weeks…..
They were cracking me up. He really wanted what she was playing with and look at her legs, haha
At Knox’s eye appointment…
They both really love this bouncer. I have some hilarious video of Sloane bouncing that I need to post…
They love it so much they play until they are pooped…
Shopping for a couch….
I think she is such a pretty girl. Sitting up in the boppy..and of course, those chubby little legs….
With Uncle Brian….
He loves his hat…
Nothing sweeter and sadder than a six baby sleeping on you…
Starting to get smiles back…
What he thinks about being in the hospital….
Sweet little face melts my heart.
Brent came home to give Sloane a bath and put her to bed while we were in the hospital. His text was SO funny. She loves smiling in the mirror…
So thankful they could see each other while via phone…
Sloane sent Knox a balloon and monkey while he was sick. He brought her home a soft pink monkey from the gift shop. They have a thing for monkeys 😉
Knox slept in the pack n play in our room for a few days after getting home. So cute. Sloane was giving sweet smiles when I took this, but she had just been diagnosed with the metapneumovirus. So thankful hers didn’t get as bad..
