First of all, thank you so much for the sweet comments yesterday.
I encourage you to read through the comments as there are some stories of lives saved through the pulse ox test, as well as other helpful information.
A week or two ago, I mentioned trying to get our donation project to Children’s Medical Center completed by Cohen’s second birthday. I am currently speaking with my contact at Apple as far as the purchase goes. We will be purchasing them all at one time.
I’m extremely grateful that people want to help! Between the Scentsy fundraiser in October, Thirty-One fundraiser in November & the Money Brent and I have put away, we are up to about four iPods! These are iPod Touches, I will remind you. I posted the details here.
Currently, this month, there are several fundraisers going on to help!
– You can read about another Thirty-One party to help HERE! All proceeds go towards the iPods.
– There is also a Pampered Chef one you can shop to support HERE! 15% go towards the iPods.
– Just today, two of my sweet blog friends, Patty & Lindsey announced that they were offering advertising space on their blogs as a fundraiser! How cool is that? Whether you have a blog you want to promote or a business, you can have your button put up for a small fee that will go directly towards buying the iPods. Yes, I might have got a little teary eyed when they emailed me about this. So kind.
Last time I mentioned the iPod project, I got several emails and comments about donations. When Cohen was in the hospital, we had our lawyer set up a trust. That account has directly been paying medical bills. Jessica also set up a donation account. We could never express our gratitude to those who helped financially (and in every aspect) when we were rough spot. That money went directly into the trust for the medical bills.
For those that asked, here is a link for the donation account (which is through Paypal) and anything else that may go in now, will go towards the iPods.
I do plan to make a little flyer for Children’s that gives details about the iPods for those who use them. I hope I’m able to include all those that helped buy them!
I’ve also had several people ask about the documentary we were doing. We did not finish it. This is due to the outcome. Things went downhill rather quickly and we felt my blog would be documentary enough. Children’s did give us all the pictures and such that they took and I THINK they are planning to document the iPod project. I will find out. I think they are reading this so we will be in touch soon 🙂
I will keep you all updated!
Have a good day 🙂
