So yesterday when I posted some wreaths I liked off Etsy, I wasn’t even thinking that I kind of started a wreath project before Knox & Sloane arrived.
I wanted something I could put pink & blue on that I could also use during other times. My blog friend, Kari Beth, hosted a giveaway for a wreath that she makes. I love burlap and I love ruffles! I didn’t win the giveaway, but I asked if I could hire her to make me a wreath! She kind agreed. I posted the wreath here when it first arrived.
Here it is again….
Then, I ordered some yo-yo’s off Etsy that were in different shades of pink and blue.
I know I’m not the first to think of this, and I very well could have seen it someplace in the interwebs, but after thinking long and hard, I thought I about velcro! I could velcro the yo-yos on and change them out anytime I wanted. I got velcro squares. I think I got them at hobby lobby and I think they were in a red package…
Then, I hot glued the soft side onto the rough places where I thought would be cute to put anything.
My arrangement… (with intentions of being able to rotate the wreath as I wanted)
I then stacked the yoyo’s as I wanted them to look at hot glued them together. I glued the sticky part of velcro on the back…
The finished wreath!
Well, I just remembered I also ordered some yarn flowerish yo-yo’s when I ordered the pink and blue. I got fall colors…
I used more sticky velcro squares for the back to place them on the wreath.
Same wreath…different yo-yo’s!
I really kind of like the wreath without the ribbon also!
If I were to have had Halloween yo-yo’s, I would have used them, but I had too much going on to get some ordered for this year! Maybe Christmas 🙂 I think this wreath makes for a very easy and fun seasonal, party, holiday, etc. quick change!
