Weekends have definitely changed for us 🙂
We missed a birthday party and are missing a couple’s shower today. We are a bit sad to miss these things, but we are doing so for a very good reason, of course 🙂 There was no going any place to watch football this weekend, either. We are in a stage in life where we just hang out in our home most of the time with our babies 🙂 While we may miss seeing of our friends faces, we are so thankful to see the faces we get to see. We are thankful for this stage and will probably look back and think, I wish we were home a bit more on the weekends.
We will be getting out with Knox & Sloane some on the weekends. This weekend was a first. Of course, everything has to be somewhat planned out due to the feeding schedule little ones are on. We had debated going to a rib festival. However, it started raining as we were getting dressed. We opted for Cheesecake Factory instead. One of the main reasons I thought this would be a good place is because they have those really long booths that seat at least six people. I knew we could have the car seats in those without having high chairs and such. Plus, they also have a huge menu with lots of options.
So, I documented our first dining experience together. Imagine that.
Our first self timer picture as a family of four 🙂
It turned out a little blurry, but that’s okay.
For extra cuteness. Kisses for Sloaney. Yes, Brent wore his razorback belt buckle yesterday, haha. It has been missing for about two years and he recently found it in a tote bag.
I want a new lamp for the buffet, any recommendations? Instead of browsing the internet lately, I find myself sleeping! ha.
So, we ventured out to Cheesecake Factory. As soon as we walked up, a group was standing outside and a guy said to Brent, “How many reps can you do?” I thought so it beings, haha. Brent was carrying both car seats. Even he says they are a lot to lift together so it should be interesting when I finally try.
One of the managers walked by our table to check on us and upon seeing the car seats to let him know if he needed to run full court press to get our food out quick, ha.
Here we are in the booth, with our babes..
The lighting isn’t great at CF, clearly.
Here they are at the table…
I think this picture is funny of Sloane. On the way to eat, we had to run in Buy Buy Baby. When Brent opened the back door by Sloane, a spider jumped up on her car seat! He immediately jerked the car seat out of the car and scared me. He looked for the spider for about 10 minutes until he found it. I HATE SPIDERS. I changed her diaper, in the front seat, while he looked. We were in a front parking spot, so I’m sure it was a funny little show for people. It looks like she is watching him look for the spider. He removed the car seat from the car so quickly, even her headband tried to fly off.
Last night we watched Something Borrowed.
I’ve blogged about my love for Kate Hudson before. While, I must say, it was weird to see her play more of a snotty girl, she is still pretty awesome. Her clothes, her hair. Envy. Anyways, I thought the movie was cute! It kept me wondering what we going to happen. I also thought they picked great music throughout!
We also watched lots of football. I feel like we switched between three of four games.
Woo Pig Sooie!
After one of her feedings yesterday, Sloane tuckered out. I thought she looked pretty cute, though she wasn’t too thrilled when I quickly woke her back up for play time.
Today, we aren’t doing much. A sweet friend is bringing dinner by, so that’s super nice.
Brent just walked in the nursery and found Sloane had broken from her swaddle and was messing with Knox. Oh, kids…
A few people have asked about which swaddle blankets we are using. They are the Moms On Call blankets! We love them and their size really is best for the swaddle we do. I’m still trying to master the swaddle, as you can see on Sloane, ha. My biggest issue is having to get down in the floor in the nursery to swaddle. My stomach muscles are being rushed back together : /
Stay tuned for a Moms On Call giveaway this week!
Hope you all are having a good weekend 🙂
