Thank you all SO much for the kind comments yesterday on the maternity pics 🙂 You all know how to make a prego feel good
even if I’m much larger now than in the pics.
A few of you asked about the necklace. It’s the one I posted here. It says Knox & Sloane on one charm and has baby feet print on the other. It’s similar to the one I have for Cohen, here. Both from juliethefish designs.
Today I am 32 weeks pregnant with Knox & Sloane!
We had a great doctor’s appointment this morning! Doctor said babies and mommy look perfect. As soon as I laid down for the sonogram, he said, “this is about when things start getting tricky and “happening”. He said they get restless, my body is getting worked pretty hard, etc. Thankfully, all looked well!
My cervix looked great and is above average (my nurse said) for this gestation with twins. Of course I’m still not to be up much
not that I can stand to be.
All the random pains I’m feeling are normal. Every time I asked what about the tail bone pain or this pain, he replies with a giggle “have you seen your belly?” haha. So, I get it. He said not everything can be explained but it’s pretty miraculous what my body is going through and it’s pretty great we are at 32 weeks. He said in reality, with twins, I would know and he would know if labor were starting.
Heart beats and breathing looked good.
With that being said, I can tell he doesn’t think I’ll make it all the way to 38 weeks and my nurse definitely doesn’t. BUT, maybe close. We went ahead and scheduled my c-section for close to 38 weeks and will adjust if needed. I think I’ll probably share the date closer to time, so perhaps in a few weeks if it doesn’t change.
No new baby measurements this weekend, but probably next week. I’ll go in every week now.
Since my blood sugar seems to be fine, I can stop pricking and eat a bit more. My weight had gone up a bit this week since I hadn’t been as strict, so that’s a good thing.
Both are head down and Knox is a bit diagonal and closer to where we can feel him, so on top, kind of. Which, I knew 🙂 His feet and hands are the ones we see and feel pushing out on my belly.
I will never, ever get over how crazy, amazing, weird, etc., it is to feel two babies move around inside your belly. Four hands. Four feet. Two round bottoms. Two round heads. I think I’ll miss that part considering it’s been my favorite.
Knox was face down so we just got the back of his head. Sloane’s cheeks were getting smooshed a bit, but we got a pretty sweet picture.
I’m feeling better and better about each week passing. I do feel more nervous with each week passing. We are soon going to have two babies arriving! We are excited, nervous, scared, happy, etc. Lots of emotions.
This week is about the same.
I stay in bed most the day.
I’ve had some shooting pains in my lower tail bone. Now I can confirm it’s nerves.
Elton is so funny. I have a second shower curtain rod hanging in the guest bathroom for the kids clothes. Well, it fell the other day. I was in bed and Elton was in his bed next to ours. He did a quick bark and ran straight to the nursery. Protective already? 🙂 I also catch him just sitting in the floor in there while I’m in bed. Pretty cute.
One of the car seats arrived yesterday. That made things all a bit more real. I texted Brent with excitement upon it’s arrival and got this in return…
It is getting real. Now that we have a date, especially.
Nights are still pretty rough. I think they twist and turn getting ready for bed. I felt like they were in funny positions one night this week so I took a picture. You can definitely tell it’s not the usual looking belly shot…
We’ve also had several other sweet gifts delivered this week 🙂 I know I always say I’m going to wait and let the twins model their own goods, but then I get excited and want to share.
These arrived from a girl that I’ve shared several emails with regarding infertility, etc. She is so sweet and I’m praying for her to become a mommy. Her and her mom make custom goodies for children and wanted to send Knox and Sloane something. Brent was with me when I opened the package and I think for about 2 seconds we got a little sad, but then were so tickled to have these! They say “Cohen’s lil bro” and “Cohen’s lil sis”…my iphone didn’t take great pics. How sweet are they? We are so glad to have them! Then, I kept thinking, I can’t believe I hadn’t thought to get some like this. They are perfect. We LOVE them and the fun hats and bow! Their shop is called Turtle Feathers and they have such cute things.
Here we are on Brent’s birthday, one of the two days I got dressed and put makeup this week, haha. The other being today.
I ordered miss Sloane some things for her hair at the first of this week and they are precious. I hadn’t gotten her anything yet and thought I better get on that. These are from Polkadot Poises. They are great prices and quick shipping! I think most of these were a $1 or just a little over.
Here we are today. Unfortunately, the stretch marks are now visible. Close your eyes if they scare you, haha.
Here is the comparison with Cohen at 32 weeks. Sorry, not a great pic. We were working on the other house.
I had a 4d done with Cohen at 32 weeks 🙂 I have a sweet video of him smiling when he put music up to my tummy I need to post sometime.
Happy Friday 🙂
