Today, I am 28 weeks pregnant with Knox & Sloane 🙂
We had a good doctor’s appointment this morning. Everything looks great!
Knox weighs 2lbs4oz.
Sloane weighs 2lbs5oz.
He said that’s perfect and right on track. He said technically it could be on the smaller side, but he said he expects them to be on the smaller side. I’m on the smaller side.
So we expect a little small, but healthy 🙂
I should hear back on my first glucose test on Monday. If I fail it bad enough, I don’t have to do the 3 hour one.
A few physical issues due to pressure, but nothing major. I just can’t be on my feet long.
He said another two week stretch would be fine based on how things look so we return on the 30th. Then he will be out of town so probably the 13th after that, then every week.
He did warn us, especially Brent, things would get rougher day by day. The heat has a lot to do with it as well.
Yay for good appointments. I love how he congratulates us on it. It’s like, what do I do? haha
Since I did my 27 week post on Sunday, it kind of feels like I’m doing them back to back. A few new things to add.
Knox and Sloane are more active in the afternoons and evenings. I’m not sure about middle of the night but I don’t feel them when I’m sleeping.
Sleeping comfortably is getting quite hard, but not impossible.
I think they are going to be ticklish like their mommy. I feel like occasionally I’ll rub a spot on my belly, or tap with my fingers, and I’ll get a bunch of quick kicks and punches. I’ll do it a few minutes later and the same thing. Makes me think I’m getting a ticklish spot, haha.
Remember when I hosted a giveaway for the Bean & Brother? My friend, Lynlee, from my hometown started up the cute shop and I was excited to team up with her. Well, she sent Sloane & Knox the coolest little onesies! They are a bit wrinkled as I threw them in the hamper to wash before I remembered to snap a pic. I love them 🙂
I’ll go ahead and throw in this somewhat comical story. I guess I laughed at myself after the fact. I should have known better. I ordered a dress a while back online. It didn’t work so I thought I would run to the mall and return it. I thought, no big deal, I have a handicap tag and the store is right by the door. So, I get in, and returning the dress takes a few minutes. Then, then I get the bright idea that I need a cookie. Well, the cookie store was at the other end of the mall. I kind of just thought I was doing okay and would be fine. Huge mistake. Halfway down, I start to think it was a bad idea. On the way back to the end I parked at, I stopped twice. I thought about calling my mom to come get me. I was hurting so bad. I’m pretty sure I put my hands under my belly in attempts to help my body carry it, haha. I finally got out to the car. It was at LEAST 100 degrees. By that time I was hurting and so hot, that I didn’t even want the darn cookie! Don’t worry, I ate it later. I did learn my lesson. My walking days are just over. I must stick to the scooter.
Speaking of, so far Whole Foods has the best scooter. You know, in case you were wondering, haha. It can be a bit jerky, but it navigates sharp and it’s quick. Also, if I don’t feel like moving around at all, and I’m on an errand with Brent, I’ll just sit down anyplace I can find. Like on a lawn mower, on sale, at the front of Home Depot.
I still am pretty obsessed with frozen yogurt. I discovered Freshberry. They have a lemon chiffon flavor as I mentioned last week, and I jut love it. Brent went to get it for me Sunday after he golfed, and they didn’t have it. They had coconut. So I’ve now had it twice and it’s pretty good, but not as good as the lemon. Hopefully it comes back. I think freshberry was one of the first yogurt places close by. It’s been here a while. It’s not self serve, though. I like pecans on mine.
Last night, Brent and I were sitting in the kitchen while he was cooking. I was looking through a magazine and showed him an advertisement for Toddlers & Tiaras. After a few comments about the ad, he said, “if I ever come home and catch you making Sloaney look like she is getting ready for a pageant, I will call my lawyer, file for divorce and take the kids.” HAHAHAHAHA So, that’s how he feels about pageants.
Yes, he calls Sloane “Sloaney” and I love it.
I get worried the shower door opening is going to get too small for me.
Still doing nursery stuff, though, we haven’t done much this week. I think we are getting the light put up soon. Here is a little sneak peek. I took this to show my friend the mirror, so that’s my dress you see in it.
I’ve still been daydreaming about this fun stroller we saw at Buy Buy Baby last weekend. We thought it was so fun! I just can’t fathom paying or registering for something that cost over $1000! Plus, we would have to get a pink and a blue one 😉
Here we are today. I’m quite flustered as it was hot and after my doctor appointment… (not the best picture taking outfit. I’m trying to hold my dress/tunic/top
non-maternity, getting snug thing on the left side)
Have a good Friday!
Don’t forget about this weeks giveaway!
