**Thank you SO much for the picture love on the previous post 🙂 We are so thankful Brent’s mom is a photographer. I’m really not as hard on myself as I sounded. This, all of this, is totally worth it 🙂
I meant to post this yesterday and didn’t get around to it.
On Friday, I became 27 weeks pregnant with the twins 🙂
This week has been a pretty good week. Feeling lots of kicks and punches. I don’t think they are flipping quite as much but I can feel them roll over and push outwards. They are stinkers because when people try to feel their jabs, they stop! They usually don’t stop for Brent, though.
Occasionally, I wonder if my belly is getting bigger. Physically, I feel like things are getting harder for me, but I look at my belly and just wonder if it has grown. Brent assures me it is growing, haha. My wondering somewhat changed last night when I was getting ready for our nieces graduation dinner. NOTHING FIT!
I’m on a major frozen yogurt kick. I don’t know if it’s the heat or what, but I’ve not had much of an appetite for anything. It’s kind of like I’m getting more hungry, but nothing sounds good. I’ll be honest and tell you I had Freshberry frozen yogurt Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I get the lemon chiffon with pecans. It’s my new favorite thing and I think it has the truest and most tasty flavor. A mid-day text between Brent and myself.
As a reminder from my last prego mego post, my doctor said I would fail my first glucose test, though it has nothing to do with what I’m currently eating. He said to enjoy my froyo while I can 🙂
We go back to the doctor Friday at 28 weeks.
Some days are physically awful and some aren’t so bad. Most evenings are really tough. I just start aching all over. I can’t get comfortable and well, it’s just not all too pleasant.
We got a nursery project done this week and a few little goodies have arrived that I ordered. My sweet friend came over and painted the chest for us. She is talented and very crafty! I didn’t trust myself and I think Brent felt the same way about himself. So nice of her!!
When we are in a smaller room, I cannot STAND for the TV to be loud. I don’t know what it is, but it drives me BONKERS! I think our DVD player makes movies louder in certain parts because I’ve noticed it’s worse when we rent.
Buy Buy Baby opened this week and Brent and I went to browse for a few minutes when he got off one day. We didn’t last long because it was late for me. I mostly rested in a chair…
He rested some, too.
We decided we wanted to register there and returned yesterday morning.
All the employees were so nice there. They asked me if I wanted water at the registering table. Then at least one or two other times, throughout the store, employees asked me if they could get me some water.
Thankfully, they do have wheelchairs 🙂
I’m far beyond the point of being able to walk a store in search of things, slowly. No, I don’t make Brent push me, though he did some 🙂 After about 9 days in a wheelchair last summer, at the hospital with Cohen, I’m a pretty decent navigator.
I will say we were pleased to hear of one of Buy Buy Baby’s policies. They accept coupons from any other store AND price match websites and stores. So, we need three mattresses. Two for us and one for my parents. My mom had one coupon for Babies R Us for 20% off that expired today. So, she used that coupon for one of the mattresses. It saved quite a bit! So, just a tid bit of information you may want to know!
Honestly, I felt a bit overwhelmed with so much stuff, haha. With this past week being Cohen’s birthday, I kind of put registering, and making decisions prior to registering, on the back burner. So, when we were there, I just kept thinking what did that person say they loved?; what did that person say they didn’t use? I realized I probably just have made a list of things based on the blog post I did. You all were SO helpful! I’m not sure WHAT made me think my pregnancy brain would remember! I was in the store trying to email people and read the comments, haha.
I think we got a good start.
I will tell you, Brent registering is quite possibly one of the greatest things I’ve seen. I mean he loves using that little registering gun. He asked which pack of pacifiers. I started rambling, oh I think these, or wait maybe those. He took the gun and scanned about 10 packs of two, haha. Needless to say, I came home and removed those so it wouldn’t throw people off.
I like being able to adjust things online!
Brent was walking ahead of me and walked up close to a rack so I wouldn’t see him scan this….
Then, I looked over, and he scanned the tux onesie for Knox and the one with the necklace for Sloane. Also made me giggle.
He had a hard time deciding which humidifier. He mostly liked the way the steam came out of the cow’s ears. I think we ended up with a frog one and a Sharper Image one on the list. He also decided to pick out lullaby cds and two sweet stuffed friends. He picked out books he remembered from childhood. So fun.
We still have a few other decisions to make on things. We were also given some things so we just have to register for one of the other. Since some people said the Mamaroo they loved, but their kiddo didn’t. I think we may do one of those and one swing that was our nephews. A few people left comments about the rock ‘n play and friend with twins said her girls really loved it, so we are going with those as well. It’s just SO hard to know if Knox & Sloane will both like the same thing or different things. I know a lot of things will have to be decided on once they arrive and we know. I picked three different kind of bottles so I could try each of them. I hope to be able to do a bottle as well, but we will obvisouly do what works best for our babies, once we figure out what that is 😉 Thankfully, I produced massive amounts of milk with Cohen and I’m hoping that happens again.
We decided to go with the Baby Jogger City Select stroller. Brent got lots of practice.
In the stroller/car seat section there are employees and BBB that work specifically there, which is nice. They are there to help with questions. Since we will have two car seats, we decided to go with a smaller option, but still reported to be extremely safe. The Graco Snugride. Our nephew, Paxton, used his for just a few months and it’s in perfect condition. He was born last September. So, we will have his, only leaving us one more to get. I think after the infant seat, we will do Britax, which we may go ahead and register for. However, they can’t price match to put in on the registry and it they can be found much cheaper on other websites, so we are still debating on that as well.
We still plan to register some place else just because I know Buy Buy Baby isn’t everywhere and some people don’t do online shopping. So, I will be analyzing yall’s product advice quite a bit more before we head to pick other stuff and/or make changes 🙂
Here we are this past week (on Friday)….
He is a comparison in the same shirt. The left was Friday and the right is when I was 37 weeks with Cohen 🙂 There is a 10 week difference. I can’t really tell which belly looks bigger, but I think it maybe looks fuller at 38 weeks with Cohen. It’s apparent my lips and face look bigger at the end of pregnancy. haha
Here is a pic of Brent and myself at 27 weeks pregnant with Cohen 🙂 We were at Penny’s Hug & Chug.
Hope you all are having a good weekend!
