Today I turn 26 weeks pregnant with the twins 🙂
Since I won’t go past 38 weeks, we are considering this the beginning of my third trimester. Yippie!
Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy pregnancy, but this one is getting harder every day. I know the outcome will be so worth it 🙂
We had a good doctors appointment yesterday and I left feeling so thankful not to be progressing towards preterm labor.
My lining, cervix, placentas, lining, etc. were all right as they should be. He said the cramping and contractions are normal for me right now because of all going on. He basically stressed that everything is so different with twins. We can’t limit their activity, but if my pain and stuff is worse from my activity, then I can keep listen to my body, and limit myself. Still no mandatory bedrest since there are no signs that any activity is going on. He said if something random happened right now, he figured it would be my water breaking, which would do not want.
I’m going to do a two week stretch again in between appointments and at our next appointment I will do the glucose and iron testing and we will do baby measurements. Doctor said he fully expects me to fail the glucose test and be anemic. He said it’s the normal with twins and won’t be caused by anything I’ve done or am doing. I asked about my non-stop craving for frozen yogurt. I was basically told to enjoy it while I can. I guess once I fail the glucose test I will have to count calories and sugar. From what I’ve heard, it’s also pretty likely that I will start running out of room to get much food down in one sitting. I’m up two pounds in two weeks. I was shocked it wasn’t more. It’s right on track with where I should/need to be with twins.
I’m praying all continue to goes well. It is scaring me more lately!
Third trimester gift from the doctor’s office, haha….
The babies were being active at my appointment. Knox was sideways and Sloane was bottom down. They are moving like crazy a lot lately and I love it. Brent can see a lot of their movement just watching my belly and that is fun, too. I can set something light on my belly and they will knock it off with kicks and punches. I’ll aim to get video of that soon.
I think it’s funny how people have started to say I’m so small everywhere except my belly. HA! It only appears that way because my belly is getting so huge. Everything else is growing also, just not quite as big as the belly, haha.
The nursery chandelier arrived yesterday and Brent put it together last night.. I love it. It might actually be too big for the nursery which I knew before I ordered, but still wanted to see 🙁 If it is, I think I might hang it in the breakfast area, I like it that much.
I posted about us taking some maternity pictures this past weekend. Not much of a sneak peek, but some fabric, I suppose. I will definitely post them and show you guys some..maybe, haha.
Yesterday, I got in the car and was completely out of breath from walking like five feet. I read the outside temp and immediately thought, there is no way I’m going to be outside this summer, at all, haha. I know the car gets hotter than the actual outside temp, but still. HOT.
Speaking of hot, I’ve been meaning to post this the past few weeks. My body tempature has raised…significantly. I feel like a furness ALL THE TIME. It doesn’t help that I have a mound of thick, dark hair. I keep a fan blowing on the bed at all times when I’m in it.
My sense of smell has increased greatly.
Brent has been wonderful at helping around the house. He does the laundry and the dishes, which is nice so I’m not on my feet trying to do those. He also waters my plants. I’ve never been good about doing that : /
I need to post my diaper bags. Maybe I’ll do that next Prego Mego post.
Here we are this week….
On Saturday, I posted about our friends and her baby boy.. They did found out this week that he will be going to heaven. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.
Thank you all for the nice words on my last post regarding Cohen’s upcoming birthday. We so appreciate your thoughts and prayers!
Have a good Friday 🙂
