Today I am 24 weeks pregnant with the twins!
I’m six months pregnant with twins. Crazy. I roughly have about 12 weeks, or 3 months, to go.
We had a good doctors appointment yesterday! Knox & Sloane were wiggle worms and both head up. They can still flip up and down, but stay on same sides for the most part. Occasionally, they go diagonal. So, their feet are kicking my bladder 🙂 I can feel them flip and it’s weird. It usually just feels like a lot of pressure pushing outwards on the middle of my stomach.
Today, the doctor printed out a picture of the top of their heads, haha. We briefly saw their faces and brought home a somewhat blurry picture of Sloane’s. They were just moving all over the place.
I somehow only gained a pound in the past two weeks. I guess that makes up for the six I gained the two weeks prior 🙂
My doctor decided he would measure my belly this week with a tape measure. It is officially measuring as though I am 38 weeks with one baby. Isn’t that crazy?! I don’t feel like it’s a 38 week belly. As far as when I lean over and such. I would say carrying it around right now, it feels maybe about 34-35 weeks. Sometimes I think it looks that big, but sometimes I don’t think so. I don’t feel like I’m at that busting point like I did at 38 weeks with Cohen. To me, the belly looks bigger without clothes on and I think Brent would agree. I can’t imagine what 38 weeks will be like this time.
If Knox and Sloane don’t try to arrive early on their own, my c-section will be right around 38 weeks. Yes, that is close to the end of August. I guess if for some reason they are measuring really big, he will do it somewhere after 36 weeks.
It seems so far away. However, I do know the longer they are in there, the better.
I’m still in shock that I’m having two babies. There are two babies inside of me.
We are still on a every other week appointment schedule, so we go back on June 2nd.
The nursery is still coming along 🙂 Though not a major peak, Saturday I posted the dresser I got off Craigslst and a glimpse of the wall color. Yesterday, I posted a few things that might be going in the nursey. Last night, we picked up the chair!
Knox and Sloane probably have enough outfits to wear two a day for the first two years. It’s pretty crazy. Between gifts, hand-me-downs & things we’ve bought, we will have two well dressed kiddos! I think my clothing budget for them
for the first two years is almost out, haha. What can I say, they will love clothes like their mommy. They will look cute! I may even show you all a daily picture 🙂
I’m pretty much obsessed with yogurt. I just feel like I need it often. Orange Leaf is really close to our house. I guess that’s a good thing? For instance, before Brent left his office yesterday….
I will say, Saturday we took our nieces and nephew to Orange Leaf, I wanted something refreshing, but I wasn’t craving the super sweetness of yogurt, just the fruit. So, that’s what I got. Really not a bad idea considering they only charge you for the weight…
Other that yogurt and fruit, I crave movie popcorn. Is that weird? It’s SO yummy! I can’t imagine how good it is for me, haha. Wednesday night, we went and saw Bridesmaids. I wanted popcorn for dinner. Not only did I enjoy that, we loved the movie. It was pretty hilarious.
I LOVE feeling the babies move. Brent has been able to feel some kicks and punches and I think he realized how hard they already are!
This week, two precious packages arrived! My friend Julie, from juliethefish designs, sent me a new necklace. I LOVE it! I have an amazing collection of her jewelry and it fits me perfectly. I’ve posted a about all of them and you can see them here & here.
One of my readers, who is also Susannah & Sarah’s mom, sent Knox and Sloane the SWEETEST little hats. She made them and I’m obsessed with them! They are tiny and perfect. I can’t wait for them to wear them.
I’ve been meaning to post this. In March, my sister-in-law got Sloaney her first Matilda Jane outfit 🙂 I love Matilda Jane.
I also meant to post these (at Easter), but forgot. My mom brought the kids these two little bunnies. When you hug them, they sing Jesus Loves Me. So sweet.
Both of our mom’s have also kindly contributing to the cute clothes! They’ve gotten some adorable things. Brent’s mom is a Zulily and deal-a-day/flash sale site junkie like I am. How cute is this number she got off Hautelook…
I think I say “sweet” and “cute” a lot. I can’t help it.
This post is kind of like a random post, but pregnancy style. I can’t help that either. I’m random 🙂
Leggings are my best friend. They are some comfortable to me right now. Unfortunately, I can’t wear them with every top. It must be long enough to cover most of my bottom. And well, those tops are becoming few and far between.
Speaking of comfy, I can’t remember if I blogged about it, but I know I tweeted. I had a few issues with Target.com on an online order that kept getting delayed and finally canceled, by them. I’m not upset anymore. The store itself makes up for it, though they do need to improve the website issues. Well, I still wanted one of the items I thought Target.com had to offer. So, I contacted the company of the item. It was an undergarment. The brand was Leading Lady. The lady who helped me via email and I started chatting and she has twins, too! It’ crazy how many people I come in contact with now that have twins. Anyways, Leading Lady so kindly sent me several nursing bras and tanks to try out. I LOVE them. They are all comfy and have growing room. I will decide my favorite once I start nursing and post that then. I also started following their Facebook page as they put lots of good info and articles regarding breastfeeding.
Here we are this week….
Technically, the first set was taken closer to 23 weeks, but since it was after my 23 week post (taken Saturday) I figured, why not post them. I think I look extremely short in the right picture. (excuse the iphone flash eyes.)
This is today….
I don’t have a comparison from week 24 with Cohen. During week 24 of my pregnancy with him, we were traveling to get his heart checked out.
Hope you all have a good day!
