I just wanted to wish all my readers a Happy Mother’s Day!
For those who are moms, moms-to-be and moms in waiting, I hope you had a wonderful day 🙂 I know being a mommy is the best, hardest and most rewarding job. I also pray for those waiting.
I could say a lot more, but I’m hormonal and I’m quick to be sad and quick to be happy, haha. I’m so thankful to be the mommy of three precious ones 🙂 I feel quite blessed even though Cohen isn’t here with me today, though I’m sad he isn’t.
We had a good weekend. Friday afternoon and evening we worked around the house. My mom came over and helped price things for the garage sale and returned early the next morning to help. Brent started painting the nursery ceiling Friday night. I woke up at 2am and he wast still painting! I demanded he stop and get in bed. He did a second coat on the ceiling on Saturday.
Elton really wanted to help Brent. Neither of us could, so we sat in and watched for a few minutes Friday night. I caught Elton back in there on Saturday…
The sale went well. One of the first people who came wanted to give me to change a hundred dollar bill for $10 purchase. The last thing my teller told me at the bank was to be cautious of hundred dollar bills because they see a lot of fakes from garage sales. I declined to take his bill, but he asked me to hold the items and he would get change. He never came back. I forgot to put his items back out : /
Saturday afternoon we went to Kyle‘s Seersucker & Southern Belles birthday party. It was so cute and so much fun! I forgot my big camera and my iphone pics were no good 🙁 I’m hoping I can snag a few pics Jessica’s mom took. We didn’t stay all too long because Brent started feeling pretty badly. He has flu like symptoms, though we are thinking maybe allergies. He is never sick. He has a really sore throat, achy, etc.
Our day was quite lazy. Since Brent woke up feeling even worse this morning, we’ve just laid around. We didn’t want to get anyone else sick by going to family dinner. He even slept on the couch last night to avoiding being too close to us. Poor guy.
He did make a quick trip out of the house and also went by Orange Leaf to get me a little treat…
I know, I probably need to lay off the frozen yogurt, haha.
I’ll probably do the Scentsy giveaway winner in about an hour, so you have a little longer to enter 🙂
“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.” – Washington Irving
