I read lots of blogs. A good portion of them a crafty-type blogs. I don’t really consider myself crafty, at all. However, occasionally I see something I think I could attempt on these blogs.
First and foremost, I think I really need a sewing machine. I need to learn to sew. I learned once by machine and hand, but that was many many moons ago. Frankly, I remember nothing. As a disclaimer, I know I won’t probably have time for much after the twinkies come, for a while anyway, but maybe I can do some things before that time comes. I’m not sure if/when I go on bed rest how strict it will be, but I figure I’ll have to find some things to do. No, I don’t plan to spend the money on a sewing machine in the midst of our little life changing event. The only pricey item I’ll be getting in the near future for myself is a double barrel blow dryer so I can dry my hair quicker, haha.
I was thinking I would try a few crafty things, but if it doesn’t work out, maybe I’ll just stick to baking.
Oh, I also need a printer. I don’t want to spend much at all and I don’t want the ink refills to cost much, but I do want the ink to be good 🙂 I’ve seen those little ink refill shops. Can any ink be refilled there?
I think I’ve mentioned my obsession with cake plates/stands before. How awesome are these handmade ones?
I love the diy flowers. I figure I’ll probably need to stick to felt versus fabric. From what I’ve seen, might be easier for me, haha.
I have SO many earrings. I need to figure out a way to get them all on as few racks as possible. Though mine would have to be much larger, I’m thinking something like this…
Once again, pretty DIY flowers. I’m not sure I would attempt this, but it makes me think how cute it can be without having been purchased this way. Love it…
I think I’m definitely going to attempt a cake plate and the earring holder soon. I’ll let you know how it goes.
