After having sonograms during the Follistim, our doctor found that it and the Femara had worked and my follicles were developing in preparation of ovulation. My doctor asked if we wanted to do timed intercourse or go ahead and try IUI. He said IUI did increase the chances and he thought it was a good option considering we had already spent money on the other meds. He told me to think it over. I came in the following day for a sonogram and trigger shot (my doctor was out so his partner did it.) When I got there, the nurse told me our doctor was going to cover the cost of IUI. Talk about crying in the waiting room. I thought it had to be a sign. It was almost Christmas and I kept thinking about our little angel watching from above.
12/ 15 – sonogram & trigger shot (I believe I had 3 to 4 follicles from about 17 to high 20’s.)
12/17 – IUI & started Prometrium 200 MG (oral progesterone)
12/25 – at home positive
12/26 – at home positive darker
12/28 – lab work positive
12/28 – stopped Prometrium & Metformin
12/28 – Started Endometrin 100mg (vaginal progesterone)
12/30 – lab work, levels increasing
12/6 – first sonogram, 2 sacs 🙂 (added extra folic acid)
I never had progesterone issues, but the medications were just a good precautionary.
