So as you may have gathered from the past & present, I like pictures. So, when Brent and I go some place, occasionally I’ll request we take a picture before hand. I use to print out all pictures and put them chronologically into a photo album. I didn’t take the time to write the date or time on the back nor what/where the picture was from. I guess I just assumed in 30 years I would remember those details? HA.
**In case you want to skip over the pictures, there is a really sweet video of Brent & Elton at the bottom.
Thank goodness for self timer. I think my favorite self-timer pic from 2010 was this one form my birthday. Cohen was clearly visible and Elton was in it too. I think it was our last one before we found out about Cohen’s little heart. My belly is as close as Elton and Cohen ever got to one another.
Luckily, with this blog, I’ll know the meaning behind all the pictures since there are dates and summaries in the post 🙂 I’m very grateful for this scrapbook.
Not all self-timer shoots work out too well. I typically set my camera to take 10 pictures. I usually just hope one of the 10 pictures will work.
These are before dinner one night a week or two ago. We were going for Brent’s stepdad’s birthday. We didn’t plan to look like Christmas colors. I think Brent had changed from work and then I came home wearing this. Every now and then, I’ll feel a bit sad that Cohen isn’t in the pictures, but I can’t imagine him never wanting me to take a picture again. Technically, our family pictures will always be missing someone, but taking them is one aspect of our life that probably won’t change.
With that being said, we did decide to do a Christmas card this year. Lucky for the recipients, it does have our sweet angel in it 🙂 You will get to see, too.
If we take one picture of ourselves, we usually end up thinking, “what about Elton?” Sometimes he doesn’t want to participate and sometimes he does. Sometimes we kind of force him to anyways, as you will see below. haha. The goal…and perfect Elton pose, is to have him looking at camera with his ears up. Since the camera timer makes a noise, it’s usually not all too hard. This day, it was. I think most of the pictures we are asking him what his deal is.
*My most favorite video is Cohen opening his eyes for mommy 🙂
