Thank you all for the comments and such on the last post. Hopefully we can meet some of you all when we are traveling around! This post is part two of Kansas City including the first baseball park we went to “with” Cohen and BT. HERE is the first KC post and HERE is the post where I talk about “Taking Cohen out to the ballpark”….
Four months ago Cohen had a big birthday….
He had lots of friends and family there to meet him…..
I cannot believe it’s been four months.
Saturday afternoon we headed back to the hotel to change. I will say pretty much everything I wore all weekend was blue. I tried to find something blue to wear to the game so I ended up pulling all blue out of my closet. Brent was going to get a Royals t-shirt and wear it at the game, but he couldn’t find one in his size that he liked. They were sold out of most sizes. He got a hat instead. I was also not expecting it to be quite so chilly! Luckily, I had packed a somewhat thick sweater. I should have packed gloves too : /
I thought it was ironic that as soon as we sat down, there was a couple RIGHT in front of us with their little boy. He was jumping all around in their laps and with the little #1 finger/hand thing. The mom had short hair and she had a “m” tattooed on the back of her neck. Brent and I have talked about getting a little “C” tattoo somewhere on each of us. I don’t know if we ever will, but we’ve talked about it.
Brent jumped in front front of a few foul balls to protect me. haha, kidding.
The Royals played the Tampa Bay Rays. They did not end up winning though they did win the previous night. We had a great time. Here are some pics I took……..
Brent with BT….
I had such guilt after eating some of that funnel cake, haha.
BT, just hanging.
the fountains are fun… (bottom right pic)
After the game, we headed back to the hotel for some wining and dinning…
Sunday for lunch we met our family/friend, Courtney. It’s a long story, but we pretty much think of her as family 🙂 She lives in KC and we wanted to see her while we were there. We ate at the Jack Stack in the Plaza. Brent had been craving BBQ all weekend and we knew there were a bunch of good places in KC. I wish I would have taken a pic of my spinach salad with salmon. It was delicious. The bottom picture is of bread pudding. It was VERY yummy, but I was already so full that I couldn’t eat much.
