Yesterday was a day no American will ever forget. It was on my mind throughout the day. I remember the exact moment I found out. I remember exactly where I was. I remember a lot from that day.
Yesterday, I was helping to plan and host a surprise party for Jessica. More on that later:)
So, today I wanted to share a post my mother-in-law did yesterday as a tribute to 9/11. I love everything about the post.
As previously mentioned, my mother-in-law is a photographer. Her and her partner, Sophia, are the official photographers for the New York Says Thank You Foundation. Here is their website. It is a pay it forward organization. Each year on the weekend before the anniversary of 9/11, a group of FDNY first responders, their families and friends, and countless other volunteers from across this nation come together to help communities struck by tragedy. Those they’ve helped, in turn, help the next year, and the next, and so on.
A week or so ago, my MIL and Sophia went to Arkansas to photograph Governor Beebe, and many other people in Arkansas, put a stitch in National 9/11 Flag. They took so AMAZING pictures. I will now direct you over to my MIL’s blog for more info and to see the wonderful slideshow!
