There is a good chance that I’m way behind on the times. Have you all used Redbox? Do you love it? It’s awesome.
For some reason Brent and I just kind of ignored it for the longest time. Well, I’m here to admit, that was a mistake! I’m not sure if we just didn’t have one close enough or what. When I say close enough, there was one a mile down the road that we drove by everyday. However, now there is one less than half a mile. Each move rental = $1. Yes, one dollar. Of course you have to get it back in a timely manor, which probably won’t be hard since they are popping up at convenient places.
So now, when we look at an OnDemand rental for $4.99 (and some recently seen for a $6.99 rental), we think that seems ridiculous. We can get most of the same movies at the Redbox. Now, we look online to see which movies the closest Redbox to our house has. Then, we hop in the car and go grab it. We can return it at any location and they are everywhere here.
My PSA for the day 🙂
Oh, and they do have an iPhone app. You can find locations with the app and I believe reserve the video you want to rent.
Nope, no one asked me to post this. My husband definitely agreed when I said, “I think I should post about our new love for Redbox.”
Speaking of my husband, I wish you all could see him sitting next to me “dancing” (shaking his shoulders) as he watches Purple Rain. I think we watch it every time it’s on. We watched like two hours of America’s Got Talent before this. It’s addicting.
PS – I think we are on the boat to joining Netflix again. We did it years ago, but then we moved.
PPS – No offense to OnDemand. We will most definitely still rent something if we really want to see it and Redbox doesn’t have it.
PPPS – Blockbuster did us wrong one too many times.
