Hi everyone – I hope you had a good weekend and survived Monday.
Our weekend was good and I made it through my first day back to work 🙂 I spent most the day in my office and met with two families, which wasn’t bad either. The worst part of the day was, and I tweeted this, seeing my PCOS on the monitor 🙁 It’s back…and it isn’t pretty. That will be a post of it’s own, I think. To summarize, I’m breaking up with carbs and sugars and I guess shots might replace them.
If we are home on Friday nights we typically watch whichever 20/20, Dateline, Primetime, etc. that may be on. We love most all of them. We stayed in and watched those and ordered in dinner. We also watched She’s Out of My League. I wasn’t expecting much from it, but I ended up thinking it was pretty cute!
On Saturday, we went to the lake for the day with Brent’s brother (ish). Brent has quite an extended family. It’s fun having big families. So we went with Marcus and Mandy. I blogged about Mandy’s baby shower here. They are expecting baby Paxton in October.
We had lots of fun at the lake. We debated on going or not. We thought we really needed to be unpacking our house. We finally gave in and decided we wanted to get away for the day and relax. It was a good decision.

brent – I think he was sunburned at this point..it happened QUICKLY!

I slept SO good on Saturday night. We were asleep by 10pm and slept until at least 9am. That was the most sleep either of us have gotten, consistently, in a LONG time. Glad a day in the sun did it. We needed the sun too! Oh, by the way, I did really good with the sunscreen on my face, as usual, but this time I forgot my nose. I look like rudolph. super awesome.
Sunday was mostly spent unpacking boxes and cuddling on the couch.
I need to start working on my Blurb book that I won from Blue-Eyed Bride 🙂 Very exciting. I think I’m going to take some of the posts of our little man to make the book.
We’re going to see Jackson Browne Wednesday night. That will be a nice date night.
I posted a recipe for squash casserole here. I heart it.
Happy 8.9.10. Can’t believe it’s almost mid August.
