well not really....but at the aquarium :)
This past Saturday, our friends, Katie, Erik & Molly, came to town for a visit! We met them at the aquarium. I've lived just a few miles from this aquarium for three years and had never been. Jessica and her little ladies also joined us. It was nice to get out of the house for the day and spend time with our favorites :)
My big camera battery was dead, but Brent used one of my others to take LOTS and LOTS of pictures of all the aqua life. A few of the people pictures came from Katie.
Brent took a ton of pictures so I'll probably have a second post in the future. I was pretty impressed with his pictures.
Our group...

I'm not going to lie, for a brief moment, I thought...oh my gosh. I MUST crop the lower part of my body OUT of this picture. Then I thought, okay Megan, you did just have the baby. You do appear to have child bearing hips now. That is okay. That is normal. (I know everyone is different...but I'm still waiting to see if mine go back : /) Just thought I'd throw that out there...in case you wanted to know what I thought...which I'm sure you didn't. haha

So much fun! I would have told you all the names of these creatures, but I haven't a clue. I think aqua life is beautiful but I'm scared to death of the ocean. It's just one big, beautiful, SCARY place if you ask me. However, I will sit on the beach any day.
*I finally posted a new recipe on my food blog today :0

You shouldn't crop anything! Before I read your photo caption I was thinking to myself "Wow she looks really good for just having had a baby!"
You look absolutely beautiful hon. Stunning really. I'm so glad that you and your hubby were able to get out and have some fun. Great pictures so thanks for sharing. I love the turtles!!! I want you to know that you and Brent remain in my prayers daily as you grieve the loss of sweet Cohen. You are both very remarkable people and I absolutely admire your strength and faith in God.

Um, gotta say, you look great for just having had a baby. Heck, you just look great.
Looks like a fun time!
few things!
1) thanks for having us,
2) brent DID get some really good pics! that one of the nemo fish and the pink squishy thing (as Lindsey would call it)... he must take after his momma :)
3) right there with ya on the whole ocean thing
Sweet pictures! Love your dress! :)
You look so great, there's no need to crop anything! Looks like y'all had such a fun day!
Those are really cute pictures, and you look GORGEOUS! Love all the little Nemos!
Brent did a good job on the pics! I am not a fan of the ocean as well. It just scares me, and all the creatures in it. I like to enjoy it from afar, on the beach too!
never be ashamed of those mommy hips. You're a warrior mom now :) Be proud, be loud. You look rockin'!
You look great girl, just beautiful. Looks like you all had a great time!
I think you look beautiful!
My boyfriend has been into aquariums forever. i dont know if you care, but i have or have had quite a few of the fish amd corals in the pics.
the red and black guy in the first picture is called a hawk fish. his swimming bladder isnt very big so he can't swim for extended periods of time so they perch in one spot for a while. some will actually crawl into your hand when you are feeding...it is cute!
the nemo fish are called clown fish and the pink squishy things are anenomes. the clowns love playing in the anenome because it cleans them and the tentacles sting then a little, but they love it. anenomes also move to where they feel most comfortable. our clowns hated our anenome.
well, i just thought i would share....my boyfriend usullydoes the sharing, but i take my turn when i can :)
I never made it there while in Tulsa but it is on the top of my list when we get back. I too am scared of the ocean but love being at the ocean.
You look really good Megan!
I'm so happy that someone else told you your husband looks like Gerald Butler. I've been wanting to tell you that forever!!
It looks like you guys had a great day! I love aquariums and zoos, such a great way to spend a day. You look fabulous! No cropping needed :)
holy crap! i had to work on saturday and kyle went with holly, will and the boys to the aquarium on saturday!! can't believe yall didnt run into each other... he came back saying how we should go over to tulsa and go to the zoo with yall sometime... small world!
Love all of the great under the sea pics! And YOU look beautiful.
You look so pretty in all of your pictures! I love all of the aquarium life photos as well - especially the giant turtle (how cute)!
I'm like you - I love seeing all of the sea creatures - behind strong glass. I would not want to actually be in the ocean with them swimming around me, brushing against my feet. Eek!
Megan you look great!!!!
Brent awesome pics!!!!
As I saw the group photo my exact thought was, "ohmigosh, she looks AMAZING for just having a baby!" and then you go and talk about wanting to crop out your lower half. Girl, you look fantastic; much better than I ever did post-baby!! Not only have you just given birth, but you've also been through SO MUCH and to look at these photos we could never tell. Hang in there and enjoy what yo' mama, err, I mean baby gave ya!! :)
You look GREAT!!!! So happy yall got to get out and enjoy friends!! It's great to see you smiling!
You be proud of your body - no cropping aloud! That's where you carried and protected and grew Cohen! I'm glad you have friends to help hug and give you both some extra love. You're still in our prayers!!! Beautiful pics, btw!!!!!
:)
That's the body that carried your precious boy around....don't be stressed, you look great!!
A few mornings ago I woke up thinking about you guys, and your sweet little man. Suddenly I couldn't stop the tears from streaming down my cheeks. My mother once asked my great grandmother (who lost her youngest child Jimmy at age 3 from dehydration just before we discovered IVs) "Nanny" was in her late 80s" if she ever thought about Little Jimmy. Mom said she got tears in her eyes, and replied "Everyday." I know that is how long you will continue to love Cohen. You are in my thoughts and prayers still.
uh you definitely don't look like you just gave birth. at all. you look fab!!
You look fabulous!!!
