This morning I decided I would go get hubs and I some goodies from Starbucks. He took a friend to work a few times last week so his friend gave me a gift card (how nice was that!). Brent has been working on landscaping our yard and has a long day of doing so today. Well, I’ve been trying to get him to like coffee for some time now. He has been a pretty big Dr.Pepper person and he loves some Red Bull. However, he is currently off pop and it’s not really feasible to drink Red Bull day and night. I figure with a certain little someone arriving soon, he may we to figure out a few tad more healthy options for staying awake when need be. I know, there are all sorts of studies…coffee is good, coffee is bad, etc. Regardless, it’s still better for you than pop or Red Bull.
NOW, on to my story. I get to Starbucks. Brent is also not very big on sweets or breakfast but he has discovered he likes the reduced-fat Very Berry Coffee cake at Starbucks. He likes eggs, bacon, etc. so I informed him they now have a few yummy breakfast sandwiches. Not every location has them, but the one by our house does. He says he will try the sandwich. He is working his way to coffee via Frappuccinos. Last week he got the vanilla bean and today he wanted the mocha.
There were 3 cars in front of me. When I get to the talking box to order the lady asks me to hold on by saying, “Welcome to Starbucks. I’ll be with you in just one sec.” A few seconds pass. Then, a few minutes pass. I would say after about 7 minutes, I look up to see EIGHT cars behind me. Yes, EIGHT people were willing to wait for whatever it is at Starbucks that they love!
That is dedication.
I finally said “hello” to the talk box. The lady replies, “oh yes, sorry! Can I help you?”
It looked something like this…
