Hi everyone 🙂 Hope you all had a good weekend! Our days have been hectic. I’ve not really been on the computer!
I have gotten better at tweeting though. Tweeting made me jealous of all my blogger friends getting to meet up in ATL. So fun!
Hubs and I have continued to be very busy lately. We are trying to work to get the house we are moving into in livable condition. Not what I envisioned doing at 8 months pregnant but I’m just happy we will have a place to live! Now, if our house would just sell!!! ARH!
Thursday I had a yummy lunch at a local cafe with Jessica, Lucy & Penny 🙂
Lucy being silly!
Brent and I are excited to be moving right by the ladies above. Kyle, Jessica & the girls brought us over pizza the other night while we were working on the house. So nice!
Friday was a pretty busy day. Working and toting kiddos..and the pup! We had a showing so Elton had to ride with me for a bit. I picked up our nieces and Brent’s little sis from school. Elton LOVES the car and was glad to get out. The weather has been so iffy lately but each day has seemed to end up pretty!
Tatum REALLY wanted Elton to sit in the back with her. He wouldn’t for a while but finally did once we were parked some place. I turned around and gave him approval to go back haha.
Then, he wanted to sit back there once Tatum got out….silly dog.
Friday afternoon the Flip arrived! We are doing a documentary with Children’s Medical Center (as I mentioned HERE) on Cohen’s story, so they mailed us this camera to use until we are in Dallas. I’m not at all use to seeing myself on video camera so I’m still working to become use to it. Maybe in the next few days we can get some usable footage that will be posted 🙂
Friday evening, Brent and I worked a bit at the new house. He started cleaning out the basement and I wiped down shelves and cabinets. Cleaning material and dust require this lovely fashion accessory…..
Saturday morning, I had a meeting for work at we headed back to the house for Brent to work on the basement. I was started to get pooped so I didn’t do all too much. In the afternoon, we went to a benefit for a guy named Greg. He has cancer throughout his body and I would be so nice if you guys would pray for him. He has a wife, set of twins (that are almost a year old) and I believe is expecting baby #3. His story breaks my heart. I don’t know him personally but I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about him! No matter who he is, I cannot imagine what he and his family are going through. You can read more here http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mugg .
While at the benefit, I had a girl and her husband come up and ask me if I was..well, me. She said she recognized me and had randomly come across my blog. She told me her and her husband had been reading and praying for us. Another girl, asked me my name and such and said she had heard about us through her prayer group. These were really the first two times anyone has approached me that I didn’t know. My first instinct was to just thank them so much. I kind of wanted to ask them if I could hug them before I walked off. Is that weird? I just thought it was so kind they read and pray for us and then made a point to let me know and say hello. We appreciate everyone who reads, prays, etc.!
Saturday after the benefit, Brent went home and took a nap and I went over to my sister-in-laws to hang out with her, the girls and my other pregnant sister-in-law 🙂 A neighbor friend was also over with her girls. We ordered in Mexican food, yum! I was home by about 9 and crashed. Lucky for Brent, we had plenty of leftovers for him to have yummy Mexican too. There is not a lot of cooking going on in our house since it’s for sale…and well, we aren’t really home every night.
We got our hair did and then got our house ready for an open house. We then took Elton over to Brent’s dad’s house. He can’t be home for open house time. It was then time for our maternity pictures. We are also very lucky to have a photographer in the family 🙂 Here is a sneak peak…(yes, I know it’s super blurry..that’s because it is just a peak! and because it’s a still shot off a video)….
You will be getting to see more, don’t worry 🙂
After pics, we grabbed our favorite coneys EVER. They are so yum. Brent tweeted this picture….
I hadn’t had these cookies in about 15 years but I got some, and they were good!
After coneys we headed to the house for a little more work. Brent got the concrete in the basement mopped with concrete cleaner…..
more lovely fashion accessories.
I marked things for the sale (reminder ~ Brent’s grandmother moved in with his mom & stepdad and we are having a sale at her house. Brent and I will be making her house our home :)…..
We didn’t work too long today because we were tired and achy. We went by Kyle and Jessica’s because Jess had a few clothing items she thought might fit and work post pregnancy as well 🙂
We then went by my parents house to grab some dinner. My mom made meatloaf last night and pork chops tonight. I’m not a big meat person but I think Brent was in Heaven! I found other food though, don’t worry. Cohen always gets fed!
I hope this all made sense. I usually make so many type-o’s at night or when I’m tired and I am so tired! WHY am I still awake?!
