Hi all!
Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my previous post. I'm glad "Prego Mego" is back, too! You all are really too kind!!
There were a few questions....
Have I gotten any stretch marks? I have not gotten any new ones that I can see! I already had a few on my hips from the whole growing up process. I grew really quickly in junior high and then I just stopped. I was tall in 7th grade and played basketball. I'm the same height I am now as I was then. Not sure if there is anything you can do to prevent stretch marks or not. I've heard just keeping your skin hydrated. I've not done anything except put lotion on after I shower like I always do. I was using some Johnson's baby oil gel with coco & shea butter but it was making my sensitive skin itchy.
Have I been able to workout during pregnancy? Well, I was working out pretty normally a few months before I found out I was pregnant. When I found out I was pregnant, I canceled my gym membership because with the surgery and what not that I had gone through, I was considered a bit high risk. Also, I just knew I wouldn't even care about working out. I'd much rather eat good than workout pregnant or not. I did tell my gym owner that maybe I'd like to start back in March and I'd come and do weights and the treadmill. Sure enough, today I saw on my online banking that I had a transaction pending from the gym. I called and explained briefly what was going on. Still no working out for me. Hubs and I do plan to start going on walks when it warms up. I am also planning to use some arm weights as my arms are becoming noticeably super flab.
Where do I get my maternity clothes? Well, I have a few girlfriends and a sister-in-law who are letting me borrow some super cute things! The things I've purchased have been from the Liz Lange line at Target! They fit pretty good and are holding up great. I usually catch them on sale too, so I've not spent much AT ALL on maternity clothes. For pants, I typically where some yoga type pants where the waist folds down. However, I keep my waist raised up as if they were maternity pants. I HATE any restriction on my lower belly. I should have known right away Cohen was going to stay pretty low because jeans hurt as soon as I got pregnant. Right now, I wear the jeggings I posted about here in a size large. I wore the mediums about a month ago. I have William Rast maternity jeans that I do love! I don't wear them all too often because they require wearing heels and I've found my back aches quicker in heels. I've never been a tight wearing clothes kind of gal, so a lot of the clothes I have, I've been able to wear while pregnant.....cardigans, tanks, etc. Of course now I like tight things on my belly so little Cohen is visable. I'm currently obsessed with these.
They are from Target and I almost have them in every color! They are not maternity but they are long enough that they work perfectly. They aren't ribbed just cotton. The white isn't sheer and that is awesome. They started out about $6.99 but they must have been pretty popular because they are now set at $9.00. When the colors change out, the older colors go on sale. I got my newest two colors for $3.28 each. TRY ONE!
I'm really not sure if I could ever do a QA post because I feel like I ramble when I answer questions! You can always ask and I'll try to answer :)
Thank YOU all for the inspiring & complimenting comments. I definitely don't think of myself as inspiring but that means a lot that I am to some of you. I'm trying to be positive. This pregnancy and situation are both teaching me SO much. And, I've honestly said before, I know my spirits often sound better when I write them then they are when I'm thinking them. That's something I struggle with but I think that's probably normal and okay...for right now. Like I said, good & happy moments and scared moments.
I'm also thankful for the stories you all share and the recommendations as well! Oh, I think I will be getting the pregnancy pillow! Anything is worth a try and it will be a lot more transportable than a recliner I get use to.
In my last Prego Mego post I could NOT think of things I was loving food wise. I failed to mention these things. I have one or the other at least every day...
Peanut M&M's
Nabisco 100 calorie Mister Salty milk chocolate pretzel
I called today to figure out what time my appt is tomorrow. It's not till 10AM!! So, I can't drink anything or eat anything from midnight tonight until after my appointment tomorrow! HOW WILL I DO THAT?! I'm SO hungry when I wake in the morning. I'm having my glucose test and I sure hope it goes well. So, I guess I'll obey the rules :o)
I posted pics and the recipe for the Crawfish Etoufee my mom made on my food blog. She ended up making a different recipe than the one I originally posted!

First, the good stuff! The candy looks divine! YUMMY!! ;)
I wore a lot of normal clothes when I was preggs. I wanted to be able to re-wear everything & I thought the tighter the better! I was finally preggs & wanted to show it off, hehe!
I didn't think I had stretch marks either. I chuckled at your cute comment about "yet"... because at the end I couldn't see anything until I got a mirror & looked! The good news.. they go away & you can hardly see them! But I doubt you will get any! ;)
You are too cute.. been praying for you guys!

Hi Megan,
I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I found your blog this morning and I want you to know that I will absolutely be praying for Baby Cohen. I checked out your sidebar and found we have a little in common. I also have endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and an indented uterus! We kinda had the same timeline too - I had surgery in 09/08 and then did the lupron injections from 01/09 - 06/09. I think it's such a beautiful miracle that you're expecting this baby! It's so encouraging!! :) I will be following your journey -- and lifting up many prayers! :)
Blessings,
Lauren

I found your blog through Jenna and have been praying for your family ever since. Just a suggestion for tomorrow... pack a sandwich or snack and keep it in your car for after your appt. I couldn't wait to get to my car and eat:)
Don't feel bad about not working out, I haven't been either. I feel bad about it but not THAT bad. I just don't have the energy or motivation. Oh well!
You and your family are in my prayers. I cannot even imagine what you are going through, but know that you are covered in prayer.
