So as I think I've mentioned before, I have a thing for cake plates. It started about 8 years ago. I started stocking up because I thought they were so cute. I actually haven't bought one in a year or so as of right now. Here are a few that I have. A lot of these pics were taken with my iPhone throughout the year so, sorry for the quality.
Well, yesterday I came across Three Men and a Lady. I fell in love with her blog!! I spent quite some time (that I should have been working on my house) gawking at her house and all her great projects! She is so talented. These are some cake plate DIY projects that she did! These are random plates and candlesticks I believe she bought at a thrift shop. I actually have both as well! My mom always buys me random china plates. I've always talked about doing a wall of plates. So I suppose, next time I have the urge to buy a cake plate, I can just make one...for CHEAP! (All the visible pictures on the rest of this post were found in this post on Three Men and a Lady's blog}
I cannot wait to try this glue! I had never heard of it. I'm always breaking stuff and I think it would be great to have around the house!
Did everyone have a happy St.Patrick's Day?? Ours was good! It was not too eventful. We worked on organizing our garage with boxes for storage and we went to hubby's sister's house for a few minutes to eat some dinner! I hated that I didn't have anything green to post this year. So, here is our St.Paddy's night last year :) Also, here are a few pics I snapped around the house last year and a few of pup Elton.
Thank you all for the super sweet comments on my Prego Mego post :) You all certianly know how to make one feel good about themselves!

My sister in law also has a thing for cake plates. She makes her own too! For the wedding she made individual cupcake plates by using tea cups and tea saucers. You just glue the bottom of the tea cup to the top of the saucer. They looked sooo cute!
Would you believe I don't own a cake plate!!?

ohh I LOVE cake plates! did you get those first two (the gold ones) from TJMaxx? I ALMOST got them, wish I did! And the white one with the ribbon?? I ALMOST got that one too, wish I did, haha!! But I did get a couple from TJMaxx with the ribbons just like that but instead the edges of plate folding down at the top these just rise up a little :) Where did you get the glass domes from (if they came separately :))??
