Happy February!!! :)
Thank you all for the comments on my blog makeover! Allison deserves ALL the credit!
So, as you may have read in the post before my makeover post, we had quite a bit of frozen weather this weekend! Hubby and I stayed home ALL weekend. I'm really not sure that we even changed out of our pj's! We did lots of cooking, watched TV and worked on a few things. I decided I would make a Valentine wreath! I LOVE THE MONTH OF LOVE :)
I first saw this wreath on Tatertots & Jello. Jen is AMAZING and SO crafty! She made a similar wreath with gumdrops and then she spotlighted another blogger who made a wreath such as the one I have.
Conversation hearts are so fun! What I bought for this project was large marshmallows, small marshmallows, an undecorated wreath, conversation hearts and glue! I already had the wreath in a closet and the glue around the house. i used super glue until I ran out. I just figured it would be quick! I think just used craft glue! I will tell you that I had to go through about 3 bags of conversation hearts in order to get ones that were visible with good print.
I first put a layer of big marshmallows on....
I filled in with small marshmallows and then more big, I then glued the hearts throughout.
There were a few hearts I found amusing.... oh the world of technology!
The wreath :) Let's not talk about my crackle looking front door. That's another project in itself! (or a new front door that I'd ultimately like)
I added the pink ribbon I had in my ribbon collection!
I didn't leave this wreath on the front door. I didn't know how it would do being food outside and we have a storm door that would bang into the candies! I hung the wreath on an entryway wall into my kitchen :)
I may have a few more Valentine's projects I'm thinking about doing!
Do you do anything for Valentines decor?
Happy Monday!
xoxo ~ Megan
