Hi all 🙂 Hope you had a happy start to the new year! Our past few days have been a lot of fun!
We had a pretty low key New Year’s Eve. Hubby and I were both impressed with my ability to stay at the party we went to until at least 1am. It was good company and not a bunch of crazies annoying me, so I was pretty comfortable 🙂 For dinner, we went to one of our favorite restaurants with our friends, Emily & Jason. They live in China and we were thankful to spend time with them before they head back tomorrow! Emily will be having baby 2 in about 6 weeks! Here are some pics I snapped of New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day.
On New Year’s Day, hubby and I just hung out! We went to lunch, went to target, made Texas Caviar & made razorback cookies!
I look a bit rough.. I blame it on going to bed at 2am and not being able to sleep much. Hubby said “a pic of you and the baby…” well, look who jumped in next to me. He has something coming his way, sweet lil pup.
For lunch, we drove around for about 15 minutes before I could decided something, just anything that sounded good. Carbs! Go figure! We went to another favorite place!
hubby got a wedge and half a Formaggio panini.
I had the pesto bow-tie pasta. Yes, with chicken. The chicken didn’t sound bad but I just ate around it.
Needless to say, we had quite a bit of food to take home!!
moi….my jacket looks too tight. yes, I’m growing. haha.
this was all I could pull out for silly face!
After lunch we headed to Target to get ingredients to make Texas Caviar! Had to have our black-eyed peas on New Year’s Day! I posted the recipe here.
After we made Texas Caviar, we made and decorated Razorback cookies! Our bowl game was yesterday and we had people over. It was so much fun and I’ll be posting that in the near future!
Today, I pretty much laid around ALL day and watched Bridezillas! It was my first time to really watch the show all the way through. Man, talk about addicting and hysterical! I couldn’t stop watching. Hubs did some shopping for my birthday and went to a going away get together for one of his friends moving to Switzerland. For Sunday night dinner, hubby got together his family to go to a local Italian place for my birthday. Nothing sounds good but I’m OBSESSED (to say the least) with this restaurant’s eggplant parm! Oh, so good. There were 10 adults and 7 kiddos so quite an eventful crowd! I love them all!
Hopefully tomorrow is a good day! I turn 26 years old and we go to the doctor to see Baby M 🙂 I’ll be 17 weeks Tuesday! More on both of those soon!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!
