HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween, everyone :) It is SUCH a beautiful day here!!! I love when it is pretty outside...and I love that it is Saturday!

This afternoon we are going to a Halloween festival and tonight we are going to a costume party! It should be fun :)

I'll give you a hint as to what mine and hubby's costumes are....

Hi everyone! First of all, THANK YOU so much for the sweet anniversary wishes! You all are too kind! We had a great night and I will post pictures just as soon as I upload them! I so want to blog what hubby wrote in the card he gave me but he would probably blush. It was SO sweet. I cried, of course.

Happy Birthday to my brother!!! I love you :)

Yesterday after work I had a flat tire :( I drove my sister-in-law's car home and just said screw it, we will deal with the tire tomorrow (today). I didn't want hubby to have to be changing the tire on our anniversary slash I wanted the food I had been dreaming of for dinner! I didn't even want to tell him about the flat when he came home with roses :) So this morning, he went and put my spare on...which was also flat! I got to sears and they ordered me a new tired and repaired mine to use until the new one is in! It stormed and POURED ALL day today!! I didn't even wear nice clothes for work. I wore jeans, my rain boots & rain jacket. I had a yummy sushi lunch with on of my sister-in-laws, Mandy. It was delish! Hubby and I also had some sushi Tuesday night :)

Tonight, I went to a little jewelry party. My friend Kylie is a teacher and some of her coworkers sell jewelry! It was fun and I got a beautiful necklace! I'll post it when it arrives :)


On to organizing...

You may or may not remember this post & this post. Basically there are several...well many things...that I'm always wanting to do to be more organized. Can you believe I fit two shelves into our coat closet? haha. Yes, you heard me right! In both of our guest bedrooms the closets had candles, candle holders & other little goodies. I really didn't like this "stuff" in my guest rooms so I decided I would put a few hanging things in each closet and put shelves in the coat closet. Perfect, yes. For me it was a great idea! And when I say "I got these shelves into the closet"....no, I did not but hubby did. It was interesting. He thought I was crazy!


I have MANY more projects coming up! They may be boring to you but they may give you ideas, you never know :)

I'm excited for this weekend! I LOVE that Halloween is on the weekend this year again! We have some fun things in store and many pictures to come!

A night of celebrating - 3 years

Today is February 14th, 2011 - Valentine's Day. I'm waiting on Brent to get home and I was just thinking about today and how many years we've been together, etc.etc. I was going to post pictures from our last four wedding anniversary celebrations. However, I realized. I had not yet posted recaps from year three or four. VERY unlike me. More than likely, other posts came up and I didn't post the pictures we took the night of.

I want to add this post in so when I print the blog into a book it won't be missing :)

Hi everyone!! Today is mine and hubby's THREE year anniversary! I cannot believe it has already been three years! It has been a wonderful three :) We have been together seven years total and that seems crazy too. As you all I know, I love pics. I'm posting a few of us over the past three years :)

So, there were are. I think I have the best & most perfect hubby. I thank God everyday for him. I feel like such a lucky girl :) I love how much he loves me & Elton. I know that someday he will be a great daddy, too!

We are going to a nice dinner tonight and I cannot wait!

I got an email the other day letting me know a lot of our wedding pictures are on this website. It is the website where we got married. It was a BEAUTIFUL venue! I don't think a marriage is about the big day, but all the days that follow :) However, the big wedding day was perfect and wonderful! Here are a few other pics on a post I previously did.

Sweet Monday

Hi all! Happy Monday :) Did you all have a good weekend? Ours was good! Pretty slow. At the last minute, I decided to have a garage sale on Saturday morning. It wasn't too busy as it was FREEZING outside! I did get rid of some stuff and the rest will go to Goodwill. We were going to go to Oktoberfest but the weather was just not appealing! We watched a lot of football...well I played on the computer and hubby watched football. Last night, we went to hubby's sister for dinner. His mom made a yummy lasagna!

Today was pretty good for a Monday! I spotted these pj pants at Target a few weeks ago. Well every time I went back, they were sold out. I told hubby to look for them for our anniversary. Still, no luck finding them. I guess they finally got more shipment because today I spotted them and quickly purchased! They are quite comfy as I'm wearing them now :) And yes, that is my flat tummy in the picture below....HA! (yeah right)




I was close by a fudge factory today and ran in :) I came out with 3 chocolate covered cherries! They were delish!




When I got home I spotted this sweet little guy. If that pillow was any bigger, he could have been hiding! So sweet...




I went to get ice and out flew chocolates!!
Hubby likes his chocolate in the freezer and well they were almost an ice substitute for me! Had I not seen them, I probably wouldn't have eaten them...darnit! Oh well, it was a nice sweet treat :)

Meet my food blog....

I decided since I love all things food so much, that I would create a second blog! This blog will talk about just that...all things food! It will include, foods, drinks, snacks and much more. I will post things I cook along with their recipe. I'll post any discounts to restaurants I come across along with some dinning out experiences. I could post something pertaining to food every day so I decided I should probably have a solid place to do that! I will still post some of the things on this blog. Hungry Girl is SMART!

I hadn't heard of The Hungry Girl until today. She was on Racheal Ray. Basically, her name is Lisa Lillien and she learned how to manage her weight by creating yummy foods with the RIGHT ingredients. She figured out what can be substituted but still taste just as good.

On Racheal Ray today, The Hungry Girl did a supermarket ambush. She found people who had high fat and high calorie foods and told them better alternatives. I thought it was pretty interesting. I'm pretty good and checking my labels although I like to find out about alternatives that still taste good or the same.

Here is a link to a video clip when she was on Racheal Ray though it is not the episode from today. The HG has a new book out called "Hungry Girl 200 Recipes Under 200 Calories".... Brilliant! Racheal went over some recipes with her and they all looked and sounded yummy! I think I will be buying the book!

A good example that she gave today was on butter. She said the best butter substitute was Brummel & Brown. She said it has half the fat and what not as butter but still the great flavor. It's butter blended with yogurt. It has no cholesterol.


I have Brummel & Brown before. They have delicious strawberry spread. I LOVE it!

Weekend Recap :) - a little late...

This past Friday night I had a nice relaxing spa night with some girlfriends :) From 5pm to 8pm, I enjoyed a delicious dinner, drinks, manicure and pedicure. Some of the other girls got facials and massages! We all had a blast. I very rarely get manicures and pedicures because I usually mess them up and I get mad that I spent the money and THEN mess it up! Yes, my nails did mess up. There were too many coats for it not to smudge. Lovely $75, haha. It was a good deal though. That did include food and drinks...and of course quality girl time :) It was my first time at this spa and it was awesome.

When we arrived home, Brent was cuddled with these two cuties :) He loves his nieces..and they love him. I love it.



Saturday was spent watching football with friends! This is Lincoln! He is our friends, Blake & Jessica's sweet baby!

After football, hubby and I went to his dad's house so I could meet his aunt! I've never met her as she lives in California! She is very sweet and hopefully we can go visit her someday!


On Sunday, we were pretty lazy :)
We had our photo shoot done for our Christmas cards! We had a lot of fun! I cannot WAIT to see them! Hubby's mom always does such a great job. Here is Elton on the way back from the shoot!

After the photo shoot, we went to Brent's cousins house to spend time with them and Brent's aunt. We then went to Judd & Kristen's to watch MORE football. Well, Kristen and I didn't watch...we ate pizza and played in her house :)

I'm glad today is Wednesday so the week is halfway over :) Time flies, but some weeks I just think about how I'm oh-so-ready for the weekend!

I can tell time is about to change soon! The days are definitely getting shorter and darker quicker. Do you all like it getting dark early or late?? Let me tell you I had my pajamas on by 5pm today. It was a rainy sluggish day and I just felt like poo.

Our THREE year anniversary is next week! Time really does fly!

Things I love right now :)

Hi everyone :)

So, right now these are the things I LOVE!

In this post, I talked about how much I love Bigelow's Mentha Lip. It is awesome. Well the other day I came across Bigelow's LEMON lip balm. I love all things lemon :) It's not super strong...more like lemon creme. It works great on my lips and smells so yummy!



I am on a HUGE grapefruit juice kick. It is SO good. I've never been a grapefruit juice person, but I am now. I remember my mom cutting me half of a grapefruit and putting sugar on it for my breakfast when I was little. I love it. Simply Grapefruit juice is my FAVORITE. It is 100% squeezed :)



I know that in this post I JUST talked about how giddy I was to buy such pretty inexpensive nail polishes. Well, then I came across Dior Red Dahlia. SO pretty. I know red is in the name but it really comes off more plum/purple like. I figured since I had been so good about buying cheap nail polishes, I deserved this one. To be exact, the LAST time I got an expensive one was last December when hubby and I were in NYC. I spotted a Dior one I loved on display at Sephora. They were sold out. Well, we went to EVERY Sephora in NYC. They were all sold out. I finally talked someone into giving me their display... Yes, they GAVE me the bottle :)


Well in the new Super Target located minutes (seconds) from my house, I came across Bolthouse Farms smoothies. I got the Strawberry Banana and on my goodness, it is DELISH! The great thing about these, is that each serving of smoothie has EIGHT servings of fruit. I am much more likely to drink one of these servings per day than I am to have 8 servings of fruit. It's all natural and NO added sugars.



Right now I am LOVING my rain boots! You would NOT believe how much it has rained here in the past few weeks. This past weekend was the first nice few days we have had in a while. Today, the sky was also SUPER blue :) Anyways, I looked for months for some rain boots. I'm outdoors quite a bit for work and so when it rains, I just can't wear any normal shoes. I love all the cute rain boots with fun patterns. However, most of them I figured would clash with my work attire. I found these Michael Kors' and fell in love! Their retail cost is $120.00. I snagged them at Marshall's for $49.99. I got the black pair. I love the wedge. It makes them feel less frumpy :)


I am loving ALL things fall of course :) Time is really flying by and I know that before we know it, winter will be there! I think the fall (so far) has been a lot cooler than usual. Some days it already feels like winter. The weather is REALLY making me so tired. By like 2pm everyday I feel like it needs to be my bed time. That can't be good, I know.

NBA Game & Dinning Out

So last Wednesday night, we went to an NBA game! Courtesy of Katie's husband Erik, we had some great seats and a lot of fun! We went to see Oklahoma City Thunder play Miami Heat and the Thunder won! We had Brent's dad, his dad's girlfriend, Will (his brother) & Cameron come along too! Before the game, hubby, myself, Cameron & Will went to eat Mexican food. Last Tuesday night, hubby and I went to dinner with Cameron, Jamie & Jeremy to celebrate Jeremy's birthday! We went to a new Japanese restaurant downtown and it was pretty yummy!

Last week we had a nice week "out on the town" :) I LOVE going to sporting events! The weather has been perfect! It seems a bit cold for fall..which is fine, because I've been sick of HOT weather!

We are taking pics for our Christmas card today! It is BEAUTIFUL outside!!
