Toss and Turn..but a good day :)

Greetings :) Why? Why am I still awake after midnight on a Monday night. I have no idea. My eyes are heavy and my body aches. I think part of the reason has to do with the fact that I cannot comfortably sleep in my bed :( I go to bed and I kind of sleep. I'm sore when I wake from tossing and turning. The whole not sleeping on my back thing...yeah, that isn't working. My mattress feels like a concrete floor since I got pregnant. I thought a body pillow would do the trick. It has helped but it doesn't last me through the night. I think I may take the plunge and get one of these...

I may get one of these or I may bring in the unattractive recliner in from the garage. I say "I"...clearly I won't be doing that but hubby will. Poor hubby, he is uncomfortable because of my tossing and turning. I swear I saw him sneak off to the couch early one morning.

I think the pregnancy pillow above is off the baby earth site... other sites I saw them on were the gentle nest, baby age, maternity and baby shopping mart and several others.

Anyways, enough of that. Tired or not, life goes on :)

My morning started today by wrapping Christmas presents :) It was to finish up our Christmas program at work. We had trees around town similar to that of an Angel Tree. The difference was our tree had ornaments for senior citizens. Many seniors don't have family and anyone to bring them a gift or make their holiday season merry and bright. We work with the local Office on Aging to compile a list of these seniors. We make ornaments with their names and a gift they would like. The gifts are purchased and then my company wraps and delivers them :) SUCH a good program!

Today was my sister-in-law's birthday :) The two blonde cuties you see throughout my blog graced me with their silly, hilarious presence this afternoon. My friend Cameron and I picked them up from school. I love how excited they were to see us. I didn't dare go on my own as I wasn't sure how I would handle 1 class upstairs, 1 class down, 2 backpacks, 2 sleeping bags, 2 goodie bags from teachers, 2 sets of artwork created for the day and one waking up from a nap. I probably could have done it since I've been before but I was glad to have help. After school we had sonic slushies followed by play time, change clothes 5 times, Home Alone, The Polar Express, dinner, bath, make mommy a birthday cake and so much fun time. Not only did I have the two girls, I had the new baby boy :) They were all sweet angels. However, let me just say, I'm no where near ready to have 3 kids...all at once....that are my own. Nope, not ready. Maybe I'll get there.. we will see :) My friend, Jamie, came about 7 to help with some of the fun activities. Baby Beaux was having some tum tum issues and had a few blowouts...always nice. The cake, well it was a bit of a funny looking mess. Mom loved it, though.

I was sitting on the couch in between the girls when the youngest touched my belly and said "there is a baby in there"...I confirmed yes, and it's a little boy. The older one says, "it's a boy like Baby Beaux"...yes, very true I also confirmed. The youngest the hit my boob and said "big boobies!"....yes, I laughed..and confirmed..that's what happens when you have a baby in your belly. HAHA. Yes, a 2 1/2 year old noticed my boobs looked big...just imagine...ok, well don't. Thanks.

Here are some pics I snapped...yes, with phone.. not great ones...

her reindeer ears from her teacher...
she was into ears today...Tatum(the older one) took this pic and 10 others just like it trying to get the perfect one. You all would not believe how well these girls can use an iphone!!!

My OB nurse told me that I can still sleep on my back as long as I use a pillow to prop up my right side. She said if you are tilted towards the left then that keeps the circulation going. Try that!!

wow megs! ALL THREE! Look at you go! You will be ready for baby boy m in now time! works out great that you can take care of beaux to get some good practice... if you need practice taking care of a 5/6 month old just holler ;)

I sympathize with your sleeping situation. It does really suck. But you seem to be keeping a positive outlook and attitude and I think you should go for the pillow, I alwyas thought about getting one and never took the plunge. If it works though it will be totally worth it!

I hope that pillow is the solution to your sleeping problems. It was so sweet of you to keep all the kiddos on Morgan's b-day. I bet she loved having time to herself.

Awww I feel your pain with the sleeping thing and it just gets worse and worse I'm afraid!!! I've got the "Boppy Total Body Pillow" and it was great with Matthew and I've just now pulled it out again with this one. If I don't use that though I have a medium sized pillow on each side of me so that when I roll over to whatever side I can put it between my knees and it helps a lot. I am dying to sleep on my back (and stomach! I'm a stomach sleeper!) but I know I'm not supposed to. I DO do the thing someone suggested above about sleeping halfway on my back just propped up with a pillow under my right side. Hope something starts working for ya! :)

I'm sorry you haven't been sleeping well! That pillow does look comfy=) I hope you get one and your sleeps get more comfortable!

(don't know if you've ever seen a chiropractor, some specialize in pregnancy/women, but that might help too! i went every now and then and it made a much bigger difference than I thought it would=))
