Hi everyone! 🙂 I hope you all are having a fantastic Christmas week! Hubby and I finished up some last minute shopping when he got off work! He got off early today at 3 …so that was nice!
This morning it started out POURING rain! However, the weather report shows snow tomorrow. I seriously doubt it sticks in any way because it was 58 degrees when hubby went to work. So, that stinks 🙁 Maybe the snow will be pretty as it falls but I bet there is no seeing it on the ground. We will see!
As previously mentioned, my mom is a SUPER COOK. I have pics and recipes for last nights potato soup and chicken spaghetti. Today she made a yummy cheese dip with ground chuck. Tonight, she made pork tenderloin, broccoli with cheese & seasoned potato fries. I will have weeks worth of recipes for my food blog. Pretty exciting 🙂 Since I did a Christmas decor part 1 post, I thought I would post a few more pics of things I snapped around the house…..
Tonight, we had invites to a family get together and a birthday party for a friend’s dad but I was just pooped! I need to start sitting a bit more before my lower back breaks from being on my feet all day. Not to mention, it’s a yucky night. I’m lame, I don’t care. So…we are currently watching….
this is one of hubby’s favorite Christmas movies….
here we are 🙂 yes, I know my sox don’t match…they are both J.Crew..does that count? Please notice how Elton props his hand on my leg…
attacking Elton with kisses
Enjoying cider 🙂
I made this arrangement with cranberries 🙂 I have them throughout the house and love them. I was looking for fresh white roses but couldn’t find any…
I love salt & pepper shakers
festive plates for snacks…
I LOVE this cake dome. I got it from my friend Jennifer’s store when it was open…(pic taken with iphone)
My cousins, Emma & Susie, got me these holiday mugs last year from Williams-Sonoma. Love them.
I LOVE wrapping gifts 🙂 My mom’s family owned stores when she was growing up so she started wrapping at a VERY young age. By the time I was in high school..she was sick of it! I took over and have been doing it since…not for my gifts…but I just like doing it.
I have “thing” for ribbon 🙂
I’m finally learning to capture the glitter with my camera
I’m going to miss the pretty ornaments when it’s time to put them away…can we leave them out all year, please?
I didn’t mention these pine cones in my first decoration post…but my mom fancied them up! She spray pained them copper and then but glitter on them. I thought they turned out very pretty! They are the apothecary jar in my guest bath. (sorry this pic was taken with iphone).
Here is a PORTION of the goodies my mom has made.. I’m going to do a post and recipe for each on Sugar & Spice…..
On top of everything on the table..she has sacks of extras..not only sacks of extras…she has the ingredients to make more. Needless to say, a lot of gifts we are giving involve food! Economical & thoughtful : )
These are containers of food and ingredients mom brought for cooking….
I told yall! She likes to cook!!
Tomorrow morning, I’m posting these yummies on Sugar & Spice 🙂
Hope you all are having a fantastic Christmas Eve Eve!!
Tomorrow, after the mail arrives, I’ll post the display of our Christmas cards! LOVE THEM ALL!! (of course, I’ll hang any I get after that..I plan to leave them hanging at least through the first of the year 🙂
THANK YOU all so much for the sweet comments on my recent Prego Mego post 🙂
