More Thanksgiving & Black Friday Finds!

Here are a few other pics I snapped over the Thanksgiving holiday. I wanted to post them because I know some of my fam looks at the blog and might want to see them :)

Here are the hubs and I....( I need to tone my flash down, clearly)
Red velvet cake...yummm
the carrot cake was MY FAVORITE! So delish.. I'll work on getting the recipe!
My cousin (mom's nephew) cutting up meat! 4 deep fried turkeys, 2 smoked turkeys & 1 ham..WOWZERS!
My cousin Faith (Jamie's daughter) and her sweet pup!
hubs cutting some meat
The ladies of the fam :)
Patty with her dog Zen & Faith's pup, Sage
Davey working on the potatoes! Yes, we put the men to work! haha

This is Peyton! My cousin, Susie, was dogsitting for her boss!
we fell in love with him....

We had a great time with my mom's side of the family! They are so fun. I'm so thankful everyone put together such a yummy feast! I didn't help at all with food. The smells just don't do it for me!

We headed back home Saturday afternoon in time for the Arkansas game. That was a huge disappointment! KICKER...that's all I have to say about that. I should have set a video camera on hubby as he yelled and squealed throughout the game!

Sunday night, Morgan, Curtis & the kiddos came for dinner! Some of our other friends..who our newly engaged..came as well! I didn't snap many pics..but here is Morgan with new baby Beaux & the girls....

PRECIOUS!
not sure what they were looking at!

On Black Friday, we did not make our way into the DFW area. I just don't have the patience right now. We stuck to our tradition and just went to some local shops close by "The Big House". I somehow managed to leave for the holiday without my planner so I didn't have my list of Christmas gifts I still needed to purchase :( I haven't been big into purchasing anything for myself lately. Since we found out we were pregnant, its like I feel like I don't need/want things anymore. I suppose that is a good thing for our bank account. I never thought I would enjoy buying food SO much, haha!

I found this cute tray that I loved! My sweet cousin Patty bought it for me :) Too nice of her. I bought the dish towel and Woodwick candle in Frasier Fir at a local pharmacy...both 25% off :)

Now, this is something I tried and tried to resist. I LOVED it.. I don't think the picture really does it justice. It's pretty gold..the top is a mirror. I walked into the store and asked the sales lady right away how much it was (I couldn't find a sticker). She told me the price. A few minutes later she said "you know what, I've had that table for a bit so I'll give it to you for half off"...WHAT!? yep! Well, I still thought...I don't really NEED this table. Where will I put it. Granted I think it would fit perfectly many places...someday. There were two tables. My cousin Patty got one. I talked myself out of it. Well, the more I thought about it...how could I turn down HALF off of a table that I liked SO much and had seen similar ones in magazines. So, needless to say, on the way out of town I made hubby swing by so I could get the table. I called the store on the way and they had it all wrapped in bubble wrap waiting on me. You can KINDA tell it's height as that is a club chair cushion next to it.
I love peace signs made with jewelry. I saw this necklace and said "ohhh...ahhhh"...my mom got it for me :)

So those are my Black Friday goodies!! Here is the tray in the kitchen! Maybe I'll post the table once it finds its home in the house ;)

I think that about wraps up Thanksgiving!! Hope you enjoyed :) Thank you family for being you :)

Moving on to Christmas....

I believe I'll be doing a GIVEAWAY SOON!! I'll do it in honor of the month of December :) It's my favorite month...at this point anyways. I absolutely LOVE Christmas. So, stay tuned for that!

Hope you are staying warm! I am :)

That is one special group of folks and one super neat house. I was lucky enough to be invited by pammie to share in a family weekend some years ago. SO glad you all still get together and enjoy great family time.
