Guess what....

Our little family....

is expecting a new addition :)

Yep, that is right! We are having a baby :) YAY! Today I am 8 weeks and 3 days. After a year of preparing my body, I'm sure you can imagine our shock and excitement when we got pregnant our first month of trying. The crazy thing is, it was a year ago that I was diagnosed with PCOS from the time we got pregnant. I had surgery on the septum in my uterus last November. My doctor found endometriosis at that time as well. From Jan-June I took Lupron Depot shots for the endo and June-August I took birth control to try to heal/prepare my uterus to carry!

God certainly had a plan for us! It went a little something like this....(Well of course the above year I mentioned was all part of the plan.)

Saturday, October 3rd I took the positive pregnancy test :) I will indicate that I first took the Dollar Tree test. There was a faint line but hubby thought it should be dark to match the control line. We took the test to his sister who said a faint line in still a positive. It was pretty funny. He really didn't believe it until I had the digital say positive! Of course, he believing made me believe it quite a bit more.

We went to see our friend's Katie & Erik that same day. You have probably seen some of these pictures before but the certain little above object was edited out....tricky, I know. haha


Sunday October 4th, we decided we would tell our family that lived in the same town. We had called my parents and shared the exciting news with them!

Brent's sister, Morgan had the idea to make these cake balls for dessert. Tatum (her 4 year old) and I helped. Though we didn't end up using them. It was also Morgan's anniversary so when her hubby gave a toast at Sunday night family dinner...he added that my hubby had something to say....

I had two sets of lab work done on October 5th and 12th. The said everything lab wise was looking good!

Finally, yesterday came around and we got to hear Baby M's heartbeat!!!!! We were also given the sweetest three pictures.

So yesterday was of course, my BEST doctor appointment, EVER :) Hubby went with me and you should have seen us trying to wait patiently by the big sonogram machine. No, we didn't sleep at all on Sunday night. The heartbeat was nice and fast, 170. Hubby immediately chimed in and said "that means girl, right?"....he is certain it is a girl! I don't have a feeling either way...nor do I care....but I would sure like to know :) I can't wait for that! Doctor said baby looked great. My uterus is doing good from the surgery. It is shaped like a heart when he measures! He said it measures plenty big for Baby M to grow but at 24 weeks I'll start having some additional scans done to make sure the uterus is behaving :)

I'm due June 11th and will probably have the baby the first week in June. I will be a scheduled c-section. People ask why I am having a c-section. My doctor highly recommends because of the type of surgery I had on my uterus.

I will also be changing doctors. My doctor specializes in fixing problems and helping ladies get pregnant. Well, it appears as though he has successfully helped me in both ways. He would like me to come back in the future for either/or. I am somewhat considered "high risk" only because of the operation on my uterus but he was so pleased yesterday, he felt that I could move on to my OB I had before him. Well I didn't really have one in my current town before him. However, my sister-in-law and many friends LOVE the one they go to, so he is expecting me :) My doctor will of course indicate everything I've been through and what needs to be watched, etc. Most of my nervousness has subsided! I cannot wait to hear and see Baby M at all my upcoming appointments :)

After our appointment today, hubby and I went to Pei Wei. These were our fortunes....
I thought they were very fitting :) While God is in control of all, I think these definitely made me smile. And yes, we did keep the sonogram pictures on the table at lunch and just stared at them! haha

Hubby says I'm waddling. I tell him that's probably because I'm so short and that is probably what happens when the hips start to widen. I'll be walking towards him and he just starts laughing at me! My pants are getting tight. They are really okay everywhere but right on my stomach and the button on my jeans hurt! I took a picture the other day because I swear it looked like I was pregnant...my stomach was sticking straight out. Yes, people have even asked me already.

As far as morning sickness, mine has not been that bad! YAY! I won't lie, I have had nausea. It is usually around lunch and in the afternoons. I've gotten sick several times after dinner. Yesterday morning, was the first morning I had to have crackers RIGHT AWAY...hubby brought them to me IN the shower, yes, while I was taking a shower. I'm so tired by about 2pm everyday. I could honestly get in bed and sleep until the following morning.

Saturday I started getting a sore throat and I felt like it had been getting worse. Yesterday afternoon, my nose was 100% stuffy and I felt pretty miserable. Hubby and I decided to go to the ERgent Care about 6 last night. I wanted to be sure it wasn't the darn Swine Flu! I made the nurses let me wait in the car with hubby until it was my turn so that I didn't have to sit in the icky waiting room! Luckily, I only have a bad sinus infection! They gave me a prescription to take but I'm not to thrilled about it. I'm going to call my doctor's office. Last night, I finally figured out how to get the Neti Pot to work and I got salt water to go through my sinuses. That seemed to help soon but it is not pleasant! Anyways, hopefully it passes soon!

If any of you have questions, feel free to email me. I think I'm all caught up! Also, because I'm sure it will be asked....I did use an ovulation predictor test. I used the Dollar Tree kind! My nurses did not really want me to but many mommy's around me encouraged it and I'm so glad that I did. I tested twice a day for a few days. I ovulated on CD19 and 10 days later got the positive pregnancy test. I also took FertilAid and we used Pre-Seed. While I can't tell you what didn't work, I can tell you that these probably helped. My doctors office was shocked when I called to say I was pregnant. My first symptom was the boobs....ON.MY! I won't even go there.

I think you all are amazing! I think the power of the blog and it's readers are just unbelievable! We so appreciate your prayers and kind words. God has a plan for you all as well. Whether it is trying to have a baby, looking for love or anything else. It is easy for one to say be patient...but we all know that is MUCH easier said that done!! I do pray each and every night for many of you. All of the people that have emailed me with stories or questions, to people, I've not even spoke to. I had Kelly over at Kelly's Korner put my name on her prayer blog last year. I am excited to let her know of my answered prayer but I'm excited to keep praying for everyone on her list. I see ALL the time how God is working on that list.

I think that it all for now! Baby M is already loving this blog thing :) I have more baby posts coming up soon. You all should see the baby texts I get from hubby. Quite funny.

Also, something else wonderful is happening because of Baby M! My parent's currently live 4 hours away. Well, they are moving here!!! We aren't sure when. Hopefully by the time or soon after Baby M arrives!

PS - Most of you guessed right on Mario! I tricked you a little on my costume! I probably would have been Luigi if hubby would have showed up with the costume for me. I was a ladybug! They were all sold out of the costume I wanted to I made my own! I had pretty wings too but I forgot to put them on in this picture! They will be in pictures I'll post soon!
