Weekend Recap ~ Part 1

Hi everyone! Happy Labor Day :) I know the day is almost over but I sure hope you all had a great day and weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend :) Ours kind of started out on Thursday. We never go out to eat during the week unless it is for a special event (events for family & friends, anniversary, birthday). However, Thursday night, we had to go pick up a piece of furniture. We were itching for some sushi so we made a little detour on the way home. In the Raw is our FAVORITE and it is always so delish. This may seem like a lot of sushi..but to us...not really...haha....

It was a beautiful night, so we sat on the porch.
We split some cold sparkling sake. I'm not a warm sake fan but I love cold and sparkling!
Hubby had this beer. I took a tiny sip and to me, it is GROSS..all beer is really.



Friday night, hubby and I decided to have some friends over. We provided a yummy dinner and cocktails! I say "we" though hubby did the cooking as I finished laundry, lit candles, etc. Hubby made turkey meatballs with spaghetti. He then threw together a chicken dish. I'm SO mad at myself for not taking pics of the food..or people really. The chicken dish was a mix of penne & rotini (we were low on penne so he mixed). He grilled chicken with (with some seasoned herb rub we have). He layered chicken, pasta, a tomato sauce, mozzarella & parmesan cheese. It was great! Our friends Kristen, Judd, Tallee & Jen came over. A lot of people were out of town for football games or the lake but it was nice just have a few people over to visit!

While they were over, Jen gave us a special treats! She had been on vacation for about two weeks to Greece and some other amazing places. Kristen with her captain hat (inside joke from Cabo), Hermes scarf & LV makeup bag.

Saturday, hubby and I relaxed in the morning. For some reason, I do not sleep very late at all on the weekends. Which is fine. I could probably sleep about an hour longer than I do. However, I constantly feel like I'm wasting the day away. Am I crazy? For lunch, hubby & I met Jennifer & Tallee for lunch at local place called Leon's. We had a good time hanging out and munching for a few hours. After, hubby and I went to pick up another piece of furniture (post on that soon), went by the Arkansas Razorback store & went to the sunglasses store. My Chanel sunglasses have C's on each side. One set, fell off. Luckily my lap caught them. The lady at the store asked me if I was in the heat or if they were in my car much. I was reluctant to answer. Yes, I work from my car and outside all day. She said the heat could cause this to happen. She was very nice and said it was no problem that they would fix them. She said if the C's would have gotten lost, they could contact Chanel to replace them. That is good to know. Thankful for that...especially since hubby was kind enough to spend $500 on sunglasses I said I liked years prior :)

Saturday night, hubby and I just hung out. We ate leftovers from Friday night. They were still yum! While eating, hubby said he had really been itching to play golf. I knew not many of his friends were in town so I volunteered to go play with him :) Well, not actually to play...but drive the cart :) That will be included in the next post!

I LOVE 3 day weekends and I really think all weekends should be 3 days! How about you??

Tomorrow, I'm going to a 4-d ultrasound with my sister-in-law :) I'm very excited as it will be my first to see! She is 30 weeks and such a cute pregnant girl!

One day this week, I may be taking a day trip to a State Capital Building. An artist painted a picture of Jen's dog and it's hanging in the capital! So we want to go see :)

I will do the rest of my weekend recap tomorrow! There are a LOT of pics and I need to get some rest.
